On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, the Republican Party will host a first of its kind MidTerms Convention in Dallas, Texas much like the 2 parties hold on Presidential election years. There is an open Senate seat in Texas that is being fought for by the current Republican and Texas AG Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico.

Because of Talarico and his radical beliefs, in addition to Texas being a Republican stronghold, the Republicans should win this seat easily. Establishment RINO John Cornyn held the seat for the last 24 years. Cornyn is a Republican globalist and a Trump hater on top of hating the MAGA movement. He was a Mitch McConnell soldier, and when McConnell passed his Senate leadership office to John Thune, he became a Thune acolyte.

With his seat up this November, Cornyn was primaried by Texas AG Ken Paxton. Paxton was one of the few Republican AGs to courageously battle the Biden Administration for 4 years, legally challenging their endless nation-destroying policies. From day one, Paxton has been a Trump and MAGA loyalist.

While Texas is a solid Republican state, it is also a solid Republican GLOBALIST state. The Republicans have a huge majority in Texas. Those who run the party are largely leftovers from the George W. Bush years and HATE Trump and MAGA. However, most people who live in Texas are Trump and MAGA loyalists. The RINO Republicans who hold a large percentage of state offices often defer to the Democrats and work tirelessly to beat back the power of President Trump and the MAGA citizenry.

In 2023 the Republicans who run the Texas legislature literally tried to IMPEACH AG Paxton on thoroughly bogus charges. That should give you a clear picture of Texas Republican politics. While their charges were baseless, they primarily used a campaign to smear Paxton personally in a state dominated by Christians.

In summary, Paxton was accused of using his AG office to help an Austin real estate developer and donor, spurred by whistleblowers in his AG office. Paxton was clearly guilty of having an extramarital affair, the event that actually became the center of his impeachment as the initial abuse of office charge was going nowhere. Paxton’s wife at the time was also a State Senator and filed for divorce after the affair became public. As the impeachment proceedings were going nowhere, they tried in desperation to bring in charges of insider trading but those allegations went nowhere. AT THE END OF THE DAY THE IMPEACHMENT FAILED!

In the late June primary with Cornyn, President Trump gave his support to Cornyn despite pleas from Thune and Cornyn for Trump’s support. They told the President that Cornyn would easily hold his seat this November, whereas the flawed Paxton would probably lose the seat to the Democrats for the first time since 1993 when interim Senator Bob Krueger vacated the office.

Establishment/globalist Republicans poured over $100 million dollars into Cornyn’s effort to defeat Paxton. 10s of millions came from Thune who runs the Senate re-election coffers. In comparison, Paxton raised a paltry $8 million dollars. The result? Ken Paxton trounced Cornyn garnering 63.8% of the vote to Cornyn’s 36.2%! The Trump endorsement is worth its weight in gold!!!

So who is Paxton’s Democratic opponent? James Talarico is often referred to as “Tala-freako” for reasons you will soon learn. Talarico has been in the Texas House of Representatives for the last 7 years. He is a typical radical Democrat. Here is all you need to know about him. He is a seminarian, attending a “Christian” seminary that makes a mockery of the faith. It is connected to Talarico’s church that supports abortion, gay marriage, homosexuality, open borders, and other radical globalist beliefs in 100% contradiction to God’s Word.

Talarico is not just a fake Christian by virtue of an endless stream of comments he has made that proves he is no more a Christian than a Muslim is! Additionally, Talarico who was born and raised in Texas is a vegan, he hates beef. He also hates the oil and gas industry. Serving in a district in the Dallas Metroplex he also hates football. No state embraces the 2nd amendment like Texas, so of course Talarico hates guns.

Claiming for years to have a “secret girlfriend,” recently a woman named Brianna Menard was announced under pressure to be that girlfriend. Menard was Talarico’s former legislature Chief of Staff based in Austin, Texas. They trotted her out for an hour months ago and then she quickly disappeared. People can believe what they want, but adding to this issue is when asked by a reporter recently what he loved most, Talarico claimed “trans kids.”

Here is the bottom line. Talarico has earned his name “Tala-freako!” If his personal beliefs are a mess, especially living in Texas, his political views are even worse. Talarico will fit right in with the dominant Democratic Socialists of America who are taking over the Democratic Party. He hates President Trump, capitalism, wants open borders, amnesty for all illegals, pushes the failed green energy policies, is pro-trans, Muslims over Jews, and wants the United States to be a non-factor on the world stage.

The only reason this race will be close in November is because as you can imagine, Democrats have the fever dream of taking over Texas. Talarico is the latest Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke. He is already raking in HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS from top Democratic donors, mostly NOT in Texas, Muslim groups, and illegal dark money from foreign donors. In response, Thune is on record that he will not give ONE CENT from the Senate re-election coffers to Paxton’s campaign. That is how petty and what a disgusting person Thune is!

However, fear not. The reason the Republicans chose to hold this first of a kind Mid Term convention in Texas is to rally the MAGA base. President Trump has already committed $10 million from his MAG PAC to Paxton ads. While like Cornyn, Talarico will out raise Paxton 10-1, I would NEVER bet against President Trump when he is focused. HE IS FOCUSED ON GETTING PAXTON IN THE SENATE!

In closing, President Trump is why Lindsey Graham’s sister is now a Senator from South Carolina. After November, Ken Paxton will be the next Senator from Texas. President Trump is building a legion of loyalists in the Senate, and don’t be shocked that the Republicans buck history and hold the Senate. More important, President Trump will have a gaggle of loyalist who will immediately go after Thune’s leadership position.

President Trump refuses to be a lame duck over his last 2 years in office, and if the Republicans can overcome history and hold the House and Senate, he will cement into law his pro-America, pro-family policies that the Democrats in the future will have virtually no chance of overturning. Please pray!

Every one of our 27 years we have struggled financially thru the summer, and after Labor Day thru the end of the year we catch up. Life is a mist, are YOU ready to stand before God? My friend, tomorrow is promised to none of us. We never know if we will even see the end of today!!! We all take our lives for granted most of the time. TODAY, take a moment, and realize how brief your life really is. I am thankful to God to be here today, to still be doing what He has called me to do. But I never forget for a moment, our life is a gift from above. Don't take it for granted!

For each one of us, the one certainty is that one day this life will be over and we will pass into eternity. It is not a question of if, only when. That is why I try often to reinforce to you that we must live each day to its fullest. Our purpose in this life is to serve and glorify God. When it is over, the only thing that we will take with us from this life is our personal relationship with Christ.

Back in August of 2001 I had a chance to play in a charity golf tournament. During these past 27 years since Liveprayer started I have had very little time to play a game I really enjoy. It was a very enjoyable round. Beautiful country club near Brandon, Florida. Warm but overcast Florida summer day. Wonderful people playing. Not to mention I actually played pretty well for not having played much. On the 8th hole, I hit a 150 yard approach a little short and ended up in a greenside bunker.

I was talking to the gentleman I was playing with as we approached the bunker. I have always had a very bad habit of chewing on my tee while playing. Nervous energy I guess. As I waited for another player in our foursome to hit his shot, I took a deep breath and actually inhaled the tee.

At first, I didn't know what happened. Then, when I realized I had inhaled the tee, I tried to cough it up. It became apparent that it would not come out, and had gotten lodged in my throat part of the way down. One of the men came running over and asked if he should call 911. I told him yes.

At this point, I realized the key was staying calm, and breathing. I was able to breathe through my nose, so that kept me from panicking. My playing partner got behind me and tried to pop it out of me that way, but it was lodged in my throat sideways and that didn't work. I could also now feel some blood running down my throat, obviously from the cut in my throat where the tee was lodged.

There was about a 30 second period when all of this was happening where an incredible calm came over me. In a very clear and concise way, I realized that I may actually die. You never know how these things will play out, and that was a legitimate possibility.

My thought at this was one of gratitude. I remember clearly thanking God for such a wonderful life. I wasn't praying for God to heal me, or take the tee out of my throat. I wasn't begging for my life. I wasn't mad at God. I just had a great peace about me, and an incredible sense of gratitude to God for allowing me to live such a wonderful life.

It seemed that within seconds I forced myself to swallow hard and all of the sudden felt the tee dislodge and go down. I drank some water, got my sand wedge, and hit a great bunker shot within a few feet of the hole! I got back to my golf cart and called my wife and simply told her how much I loved her. Even though I was still spitting up blood from where my throat was cut for the next several holes, I did finish the round. Needless to say, I have been broken of the habit of chewing on tees!

I share this with you today just to remind you how precious life really is. Not only how precious, but how quickly it can end. DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR LIFE FOR GRANTED. EACH DAY IS A SPECIAL GIFT FROM GOD. Let me also say that for anyone reading this today, that does not have 100% assurance that if your life ends today you will spend eternity with God, the Bible says TODAY is the day of salvation.

Don't ever forget this important point. Only God says when our work here is over. So have no fear. As long as He still has work for us to do, we aren't going anywhere. I guess He still has some work for me to do, just like He does you. I pray each day we are found faithful to that work until the day He calls us home!!!
