DAILY DEVOTIONAL MONDAY JUNE 15, 2026

(Luke 12:16-21)

Pray today for the United States, and for the people to repent and turn back to Almighty God and His Truth!

***Prayer***

Dear Lord, help me to focus on the fact that while as a nation and people we operate in a political infrastructure, the answers for our nation are not political but spiritual! Only through the Gospel transforming lives can this nation once again rise up and be the GOD BLESSED land we once were. Help us Lord to not be distracted by the “noise” of the political world, but stay focused on the one and only answer for our land, turning back to Almighty God and HIS Truth!!! In the name of Jesus…AMEN!!!

The 2026 World Cup is underway as teams from 48 countries will play 104 games in 11 US cities, 3 Mexican cities, and 2 Canadian cities with the Championship Game being played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19th. The United States got a fairly easy draw in the Group Stage against teams from Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey. They are expected to advance to the “knockout stage” or the Round of 32. Games in the Round of 32 are played until there is a winner at the end of regular time, overtime, or on penalty kicks. The loser of those games are out of the tournament.

The United States is the 16th ranked soccer team in the world with Argentina currently ranked 1, Spain 2, France 3, and England 4. The US got off to a historic start this past Friday night beating Paraguay 4-1. Most experts predict they will win their Group Stage, win their first game in the “knockout stage” to advance to the Round of 16, and possibly win a game in the Round of 16 to make it to the quarter finals. For perspective, the odds for the USA to actually win the World Cup range from 40-1 to 60-1 but in sports you never know.

In the aftermath of the United States big win over Paraguay, the non-sports media gave it virtually no attention. While most of the corporate media simply ignored the win, those who did cover it were not very enthusiastic and even found issues to complain about. They probably didn’t like the fact the US team stood with their hands over their hearts while singing the National Anthem, or perhaps it was the team prayer circle after the game! It is a fact that during his first term, it was President Donald Trump who secured the World Cup for the United States with some games being played at venues in the US and in both of our neighbors to the south and north.

It was also President Trump in his first term that secured the 2028 Summer Olympics for the United States. Sadly, the fact Trump is President is the reason for the media’s lack of attention to this massive global event held every 4 years. There will be an estimated TWO BILLION PEOPLE WORLDWIDE who will watch the championship game. That is literally 1 out of every 4 people alive on the planet! For reference, the Super Bowl averages apx. 200 million viewers globally, or one tenth the number of people who will watch the World Cup Championship Game!

One of the interesting stories since the start of the World Cup has been a German soccer fan named “Freddy” who has been documenting his trip throughout the US on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Freddy has initially been in the southern US states following the final practice games called “friendlies.” He has recently been traveling thru Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana. He went to the Waffle House at 1am and thought the food was the greatest and the prices so cheap. He stopped by a Bass Pro Shop and was amazed they had a gun range on site. Freddy also made it to a Buffalo Wild Wings and was blown away by how many TVs they had.

There are several other soccer fans documenting their US trip on social media. One of the reoccurring things they have all commented on is our news media. They have been shocked at how negative the media is regarding President Trump and the country in general. With their weak economies due to globalist policies like the expensive and failed green energy programs, most European countries are overrun with Muslim migrants who are destroying their way of life, bringing high crime, and eating up the limited resources in their social programs.

West Virginia and Mississippi consistently rank as having the worst state economies in the U.S., suffering from the lowest median incomes, highest poverty rates, and weak job growth. However, these poorest U.S. states are not generally worse off economically than most European countries! The largest percentage of Europeans are nationalists who are trying to vote out of office their globalist leaders like Starmer in the UK, Merz in Germany, and Macron in France. THEY LOVE DONALD TRUMP AND WISH HE WAS THE LEADER OF THEIR COUNTRY!

So over the coming weeks the World Cup tournament will unfold as most root for the red, white, and blue. I still remember the 1980 US Olympic hockey team and what has become known as the “miracle on ice.” What a better moment for another sports miracle as we celebrate the 250th birthday of our country! Be kind to the millions of visitors visiting the US here for the World Cup, tell them about Jesus, and GO USA!!!

***June Financial Update***

As we are into June, we ended May with a shortfall of $35,000. So far we have covered $10,000 of May’s $35,000 shortfall leaving the final $25,000. I am praying that we can cover the balance of May this week so we can begin working on the $55,000 we require for our June ministry operation.

That is $80,000 to end June with all of our ministry operation current. Traditionally each year we struggle during the summer months of June, July, and August, but am believing God this year we will have an ABUNDANCE! OUR GOD IS ABLE!!!

Friday with Elon Musk’s SpaceX IPO, Musk became the world’s first trillionaire! Maybe as astonishing, more than 4,000 current and former SpaceX employees became millionaires. These types of opportunities only exist in a capitalist society. Those who currently push a socialist or communist ideology have been responsible for the poverty and death of BILLIONS OF PEOPLE throughout human history. Yet today, this very moment in the United States, the Democrat Party that is currently made up of people pushing globalist policies while proudly declaring they are socialists!

Today, more people than ever own stock. Whether it is through online or more traditional brokerage accounts, through various mutual funds, or in a 401k or other retirement plan, never before have so many people owned stocks. For those who prudently and strategically invest long term, the stock market has been one of the most consistent ways to invest and get a respectable (7-12% a year) return on your money. Let me give you some advice to pray about.

If you have sat down with a competent broker or financial planner, you have created a long term investment strategy involving companies with solid track records of financial performance and stability, then don't allow the day-to-day, even month-to-month ups and downs of the markets scare you. The stock market is still one of the greatest places to invest your money long term.

Only a complete meltdown of the entire US economy could change that from being true. So regardless what your portfolio, or mutual fund, or 401k has done in the last few years, hang in there. After all, Jesus shared MANY parables of being a wise steward and investing a portion of what God has entrusted to us during this life.

Today I want to share with you a word of hope and encouragement. Especially if you have had financial problems lately, especially if you have lost money in the markets recently, I want you to know today that God will not fail you! God will not forsake you! My bible says, "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." What things is Jesus talking about??

Before that great verse in Mathew 6:33, He is talking about worrying about what we will eat, what we will drink, what we will wear. Jesus is talking about the day to day necessities of life. His message is simple. SEEK GOD FIRST. GOD KNOWS THE DAY TO DAY NECESSITIES OF LIFE THAT YOU HAVE, AND HE WILL MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE TAKEN CARE OF!

Let me also take this time to encourage those of you who are faithful in giving to your local church, to those works of God that He has laid on your heart to support like Liveprayer. I have said it before, the GREATEST INVESTMENT that there is in this world is investing in the eternal souls of people! There is no investment you will ever find that pays higher dividends than when you give to the work of God that is bringing the hope and love of Jesus, the gift of everlasting life, to the lost and broken hearted of our world.

It is wise to set aside a portion of our resources to invest, to make grow for the future. Jesus told us that we should do this. But we must also be sure that we are faithful to give back to God a portion of what He has entrusted to us to further HIS work. It will ALWAYS be the greatest investment you will ever make throughout your life.

I love you and care about you so much. My heart breaks when I hear of people that have had such devastation as the loss of their financial security. I am so sad when I read the prayer requests from those who are struggling because money that they were counting on is no longer there. But let me encourage you today that Jesus loves you, and that God will always provide for your needs each step of the way.

The verses in Matthew chapter 6 tell us NOT to worry about the day to day necessities of life, God knows we have those needs. It tells us to focus instead on Him, His Kingdom, on serving Him.

My prayer for you today is that God's peace will be with you this day. That the fear, the concern of finances will wash away and be replaced by His perfect peace. Never forget that He loves you, cares about you, and is with you always. Stock markets will rise and fall. Money will be made and lost. However JESUS, is the one constant that we can ALWAYS count on.

HE WILL NEVER FAIL, AND HIS WORD IS THE ONE THING IN THIS WORLD THAT WILL NEVER CHANGE!!!
