***CHRISTMAS FOR SINGLE MOTHERS***
After much prayer and despite still needing $130,000 to end this year with all of our financial needs current, I have taken a huge step of faith and am announcing that as we have done virtually every year since Liveprayer began over 26 years ago, we will be helping out single mothers this Christmas. We will be helping 30 single mothers with a gift of $200 so they can insure their children have something under the tree and a nice Christmas meal. As in past years, all I ask is that these single mothers we help go to church with their children on Christmas! I never ask people to do something I don't do myself, and am giving into my personal need by taking care of 10 of the 30. If God is leading you to help me take care of any of the other 20, just make sure you mark on your $200 credit card or check gift that it is for the Single Mothers Christmas.
What I need is for those who want to be considered, send me a short email with your name, address, and phone number. I need to know how many children you have and their ages. That leaves the final $20,000 from October, the $55,000 from November, and the $55,000 we will require in December or $130,000 over the final 25 days of December to end the year with all of our ministry operations current. A movement that started in Europe over a decade ago was the “euthanasia movement,” or as it is also known, “Dr. assisted suicide.” Like so many major issues, Liveprayer has been one of the few national platforms sounding the alarm as this movement was emerging. The next big move of Dr. assisted suicide was not surprisingly in Canada, who usually follows what is happening in Europe. In the last part of 2019 we began to see liberal states like Washington and Oregon begin to legalize euthanasia and it seemed to be a movement gaining steam in the US until COVID hit in late January of 2020.
Unbeknownst to most people, as of early 2025 euthanasia is now legal in 12 US jurisdictions: California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, and Washington, though Montana's legality is based on court rulings rather than explicit legislation, while active euthanasia remains illegal nationwide. IN APX. ONE QUARTER OF OUR STATES, PEOPLE CAN NOW KILL THEMSELVES WITH THE HELP OF A DOCTOR!
The reason I am bringing up this topic is that it was just reported that in Canada 5% of all deaths are now due to euthanasia. 5% and growing! How long before 5% of the deaths in the US are due to people dying with the help of a physician? How long before it is 10%? My friend, life is from God. It is God who gives us life and it is God who decides when life is over.
Having dealt with death and dying pretty much every day the last 26 years, I am fully aware of people who have a physical issue, a disease of some sort, that the world says will soon take their life. I’ve dealt with people who were given literally weeks to live and 8 years later they are still alive. The point is, God not man says when our life is over! I also deal all the time with people who live each day in incredible pain from a disease or health issue of some sort and death seems like the best alternative. Again, it is God who gives us life and God who decides when life is over.
Pray for those who are suffering from medical issues that has made their daily lives very difficult. Pray for them to have the faith to trust God as they deal with severe health problems, knowing that even in their pain and suffering God can use their life to impact others. Pray they live each day they have with God’s strength, knowing that for each of us this gift of life will be over and due to our faith in Jesus we will be forever with Him.
May we all hold on to God’s promise in Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away". AMEN!!!

The ambush. One of the most famous ambushes in history happened 84 years ago today when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Sneak attacks have been part of warfare since its inception. It is a strategy that can be used very effectively. Catching your enemy off guard gives you a tremendous advantage. In our spiritual lives, we are often the target of an ambush by satan, and God has warned us to be prepared, to be ready so that we are not caught off guard.
Actually, we are most susceptible to an ambush when we are the strongest. When things are going well, when we are on top of the things going on in our lives, that is when we can get lulled into a false sense of self-confidence. We get lazy. We forget to do the things we did that made us strong. That is when we are most ripe to be ambushed. The events of 9/11 are a great example of this. NOBODY ever dreamed that could happen to the United States. It is the same in our personal life. You are rarely prepared for the surprise attacks that come during life!
As God warned the prophets of old, today He is warning you. Be prepared! Keep watch! The battle is never over and when you least expect it, the enemy will attack. This is not meant to scare you or have you living in fear thinking what will happen next. This is to prepare you for the inevitable. As long as you are living, loving God, and serving God, you are going to be a target.
All God wants you to do is be prepared. The way you do that is by maintaining that close, personal, daily relationship with Him. Battling each day the sin in your life so that the enemy has no control over you. Fulfilling God's purpose for your life by serving Him each day and helping others.
My goal today, my prayer today for you is that you open your heart and take a look at your life. Ask yourself if you are prepared if the enemy launches a sneak attack on your life today. If the answer is yes, I am prepared, then continue doing the things you have to do each day to stay strong. If the answer is no, then NOW is time to make the changes necessary so that you are ready!
Trust me, the ambush, the attacks will come. Prepare for them no, because once you are in the middle of the fight it is tough to think, to respond the way that you need to respond to be victorious. I am praying today that you will stop whatever it is you are doing, and make sure that you are prepared for a sneak attack on your life this very day.

They are already in the battle and need God's help to be victorious. That is why I take opportunities from time to time to try and prepare you in advance for the attacks that will eventually come so that you are prepared!
