DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY FEBRUARY 9, 2025

(Isaiah 41:10)

Let me never get so caught up in just 'getting through the day" I don't appreciate each day for the gift from You it is! Bless this day, and allow me to use it in some small way for Your glory. Thank you for this life, and most of all, for my eternal relationship with You! In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!!!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: “If there is a God, when I get to Heaven I’m not stopping to be interviewed. I’m heading straight in. I’ve EARNED my place in Heaven, it’s not even close!” Those are the words of the arrogant former Mayor of New York City Michael Bloomberg. You don’t need a theology degree, or really to know much about the Christian faith to understand this statement is not just the height of arrogance, but a soul currently who has ZERO chance of ever stepping foot into Heaven! Of course the whole statement begins questioning if God even exists, making the rest of the statement moot if he doesn’t. However, IF there is a God, to tell your Creator what you will and won’t do is insanity. When we take our last breath and stand before God, the “interview” has only one question, “have you accepted My Son Jesus by faith” and your entrance into Heaven hinges 100% on that answer. Lastly, Bloomberg echoes the mindset of most who are uber-wealthy in this world. They believe because they have done many things in their life that they and many others consider as “good things,” they have EARNED their place in Heaven (if there is such a place). Ephesians 2:8,9 gives us the “salvation formula” which teaches salvation is by our faith, plus God’s grace, plus NOTHING! It specifically states, “not of works lest any man should boast.” There is no ambiguity! “Good works” has ZERO to do with salvation since no amount of good works can take away your sins. ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CAN ACCOMPLISH THAT! This doesn’t preclude a person doing good works, since it is natural that good works will flow from anyone who comes to faith in Christ. Pray for Michael Bloomberg. If this is his belief, when he takes his last breath God’s Word clearly teaches his soul is bound for eternity in the punishment of hell.

**FEBRUARY FINANCIAL UPDATE: After covering the balance of our 2024 shortfall in the first week of January, we ended January with a shortfall of $35,000. As of today that shortfall is now down to the final $30,000. I am praying that we can clear up the balance of January in the next week so we can begin work on the $55,000 we require for our February ministry operation. That is $85,000 to end February with everything current. OUR GOD IS ABLE!!!

The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or $100. Still others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more. GOD WILL BLESS YOUR GIFT NO MATTER WHAT THE AMOUNT!!!

As I was in prayer this morning about what God wanted me say to you today, He brought this powerful verse from the book of Isaiah into my heart and told me that many of you today needed to be encouraged and reassured that God has not left you. The Bible promises us that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Let me say it this way, although you may have left God, God has NEVER left you! How can you fear anything, any person, any situation, or any circumstance, when God is there with you? When you are on the mountaintop, God is with you. When you are in the valley, God is with you. God is with you ALWAYS! But the promise of this verse doesn’t just end with His presence.

To me, the power in the verse is His promise to help us. Every morning, when I look into the mirror in my bathroom, the first thing I see is a Bible verse from John 15 that simply says, “Without me you can do nothing.” I never want to start the day trusting in my own strength or wisdom, but relying on the strength and wisdom God provides.

It is such a comfort to know that God is with me and that He is helping me. That is why I have such confidence, even in the face of what often appears to be overwhelming odds. God is with me, He is helping me, and the Bible says that if He is with me, who can be against me! That promise also applies to you!!!

I want you to put this truth in your heart today and start living a confident, victorious life...NOW!!! There is no better time than now to put God to the test. If He said it, believe it, and live it!!!

When you are driving down the freeway at 60 mph and there are cars all around you going just as fast or even faster, you are trusting those other drivers literally with your life. When you get on an airplane, you are trusting the pilot to get you up and down safely. There are so many times each day that you are putting your faith in trust in people you don’t even know.

If you are willing to blindly trust total strangers every day, why not put your trust in God your Creator? Not only the God who created you in His own image, but the God who loved you so much He sent His Son to die for your sins. The very same God who promises to never leave you and to help you!

I love you and care about you so much. I want to see you rise above whatever circumstances you are facing and live a victorious life. Not only do you become a living testimony of God’s grace, but it frees you up to serve Him without being so distracted by the events in your life. Overcoming the problems in your life gives you the freedom to help others overcome their problems.

I will be praying for you today as you pray and meditate on this wonderful promise from God’s Word, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Is. 41:10)
