Making each day count! and, The 83rd anniversary of Pearl Harbor, ARE YOU PREPARED FOR SATAN’S SNEAK ATTACK ON YOUR LIFE?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY DECEMBER 7, 2024

***CHRISTMAS FOR SINGLE MOTHERS! After much prayer and despite still needing $130,000 to end this year with all of our financial needs current, I have taken a huge step of faith and am announcing that as we have done most years since Liveprayer began over 25 years ago, we will be helping out single mothers this Christmas. We will be helping 30 single mothers with a gift of $200 so they can insure their children have something under the tree and a nice Christmas meal. As in past years, all I ask is that these single mothers we help go to church with their children on Christmas! I never ask people to do something I don’t do myself, and am giving into my personal need by taking care of 10 of the 30. If God is leading you to help me take care of any of the other 20, just make sure you mark on your $200 credit card or check gift that it is for the Single Mothers Christmas. What I need is for those who want to be considered, send me a short email with your name, address, and phone number. I need to know how many children you have and their ages. Lastly, a brief description of why you need this help. PLEASE, AS IN YEARS PAST WE WILL GET INUNDATED WITH REQUESTS. IT WILL BE FIRST COME. ***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: How to make sure you are not just living each day God grace's you with, but making each day COUNT! Here is a simple but powerful challenge I have for you today, and the great thing is it is something each person can customize to their own life. I want you to take 10 minutes today, that is all, just 10 minutes. Pray for the Lord to open your heart and mind. Get a piece of paper and write down TODAY, ONE WEEK, ONE MONTH. Now, next to TODAY I want you to simply write in one thing, just one thing you want to accomplish before you go to bed in your spiritual life. IT IS TOTALLY UP TO YOU! Read one chapter from the Bible. Set aside 15 minutes to just pray and meditate on the Lord. Email someone a word of encouragement. Call someone you know who needs a kind word. Help a neighbor. The opportunities are endless and it is totally up to you and your life to make this decision. Next, write down one thing you want to accomplish over the next week in your spiritual life. Lastly, write down the one thing you want to accomplish over the next month in your spiritual life. Having these simple but clear goals for today, the next week, and the next month, keeps you focused on the fact that every day isn't just another day of life, but a gift from God to use your life to grow spiritually in your personal life and be a blessing to God's Kingdom! THIS IS TOO EASY TO NOT DO. IT IS NOT MEANT TO PUT ANY PRESSURE ON YOU, BUT TO HELP YOU STAY FOCUSED THAT EVERY DAY IS A GIFT FROM GOD AND TO MAKE SURE YOU USE SOME OF THAT GIFT FOR HIM!!!

***DECEMBER FINANCIAL UPDATE: AMEN! Thanks to the help of many in the Liveprayer family, we cleared up the balance of our September shortfall and the first $25,000 of our October ministry operations. So as we head into December we still require the final $30,000 to clear up October, the $55,000 from November’s ministry operations, and the $55,000 for December’s operations.

That is a total of $140,000 to end 2024 with all of our ministry operations current. OUR GOD IS ABLE!!!

The ambush. One of the most famous ambushes in history happened 83 years ago today when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Sneak attacks have been part of warfare since its inception. It is a strategy that can be used very effectively. Catching your enemy off guard gives you a tremendous advantage. In our spiritual lives, we are often the target of an ambush by satan, and God has warned us to be prepared, to be ready so that we are not caught off guard.

Actually, we are most susceptible to an ambush when we are the strongest. When things are going well, when we are on top of the things going on in our lives, that is when we can get lulled into a false sense of self-confidence. We get lazy. We forget to do the things we did that made us strong. That is when we are most ripe to be ambushed. The events of 9/11 are a great example of this. NOBODY ever dreamed that could happen to the United States. It is the same in our personal life. You are rarely prepared for the surprise attacks that come during life!

As God warned the prophets of old, today He is warning you. Be prepared! Keep watch! The battle is never over and when you least expect it, the enemy will attack. This is not meant to scare you or have you living in fear thinking what will happen next. This is to prepare you for the inevitable. As long as you are living, loving God, and serving God, you are going to be a target.

All God wants you to do is be prepared. The way you do that is by maintaining that close, personal, daily relationship with Him. Battling each day the sin in your life so that the enemy has no control over you. Fulfilling God's purpose for your life by serving Him each day and helping others.

My goal today, my prayer today for you is that you open your heart and take a look at your life. Ask yourself if you are prepared if the enemy launches a sneak attack on your life today. If the answer is yes, I am prepared, then continue doing the things you have to do each day to stay strong. If the answer is no, then NOW is time to make the changes necessary so that you are ready!

Trust me, the ambush, the attacks will come. Prepare for them no, because once you are in the middle of the fight it is tough to think, to respond the way that you need to respond to be victorious. I am praying today that you will stop whatever it is you are doing, and make sure that you are prepared for a sneak attack on your life this very day.

I love you and care about you, and am thankful for your prayers and support of our work here at Liveprayer.com. Much of what we do here is help people through the battles in their life. They are already in the battle and need God's help to be victorious. That is why I take opportunities from time to time to try and prepare you in advance for the attacks that will eventually come so that you are prepared!

God loves you and has given you all the tools that you need to be victorious. Make sure that you are using them and doing everything that you can do to stand strong so that you are not only victorious in your own life, but you can help others be victorious as well.
