The smearing of Pete Hegseth and the Trans issue at the Supreme Court! and, Losing your job at Christmas!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY DECEMBER 6, 2024

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: Two TV Nuggets for you today. The first is the nomination of Pete Hegseth. UNLESS PETE DECIDES HE AND HIS FAMILY DON’T WANT TO GO THRU THIS SMEAR MACHINE ANY LONGER, HE WILL BE THE NEXT SECRETARY OF DEFENSE! Just like Donald Trump stood by Justice Kavanaugh while they did everything to derail his nomination for the Supreme Court, ultimately defeating his foes, so will Trump stand by Pete! Here is all you really need to know about this issue. The initial smear came from an email his mother wrote to him a decade ago while he was in the middle of a very nasty divorce. Anyone who has ever been thru a divorce understands how raw emotions can get and how deeply personal such a life changing event is. His mother sent him a late night email that was very harsh, yet the following morning, about 6 hours later, she sent another email apologizing for the late night email and to let him know she was sorry, loves him, and is praying for him. Funny, in the efforts to smear Hegseth they never bothered to mention the second email! Even Murdoch/Ryan stooge Steve Doocy who is no fan of Trump’s interviewed Pete Hegseth's mother on Fox and Friends the other morning, and while he read every word of the harsh late night email he didn’t bother to even mention the follow up email a few hours later. Pete’s mother by the way is clearly a Godly woman who knows the Lord. She held her own and did a wonderful job defending her son. The smear continued last weekend when New Yorker Magazine ran a long hit piece authored by Jane Mayer accusing Hegseth of mismanaging finances, harassing women, and binge drinking while he ran a Veterans non-profit years ago. For the record, anytime you see Jane Mayer in the byline, know it is nothing but a hit piece on Trump or the nationalist movement. This particular hit piece went on to talk about how during his many years at FOX News Hegseth was often late for work, would come in with alcohol on his breath, among other accusations. Only one problem, EVERY ACCUSATION WAS FROM AN ANONYMOUS SOURCE!!! This is how the scum media operates. This is what they did to Trump for the last 10 years, slime him with anonymous accusations! In the meantime over 50 people who worked with Hegseth at that non-profit years ago and many who worked with him for over a decade at FOX debunked these accusation...ON THE RECORD! THEY PUT THEIR NAME AND FACE TO THEIR DEFENSE OF PETE! Something I have shared with the Liveprayer family over the years, anonymous sources are garbage and should be ignored. If you want to slime a person, go public and do it to their face! That is why defendants in a court proceeding have a Constitutional right to face their accuser! Again, unless like Matt Gaetz Pete and his family decide they just don’t want to deal with this disgusting process any longer, HE WILL BE THE NEXT SECRETARY OF DEFENSE!

The second TV Nugget is the Tennessee law that makes it illegal to perform gender reassignment surgeries or prescribe puberty blockers or other powerful gender changing drugs to anyone under 18. The fact is you can’t go to war until you are 18, you can’t get a tattoo until you are 18, you can’t drink until you are 21 in most states, you can’t even buy cigarettes until you are 18! However, the multi-billion dollar trans medical cabal want to be able to mutilate children and give them powerful drugs that will change their physiology for the rest of their life when they are still children. The Biden Administration initially challenged the law and were shot down by a Federal court in Tennessee. It was appealed to the Court of Appeal that also upheld the law. So the ACLU got involved on behalf of the pro-trans movement and asked the Supreme Court to take up the case which they did. They had oral arguments yesterday and it seems clear that SCOTUS is most likely going to uphold the Tn. law. Amen! This law will ultimately be endorsed by apx 25 of the states. For the record, the ACLU attorney arguing before the Supreme Court was a mentally ill woman who thinks she is a man with the last name of Strangio. YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP! This was the first mentally ill person who didn’t know what gender they were to ever argue before the Supreme Court. Sadly in states that are promoting mutilating and destroying the lives of children thru this gender lie, they have weaponized the power of the state against parents who refuse to go along with this insanity. In many states parents can literally lose their children for not supporting a minor child who has been lied to and brainwashed into believing they are not the gender God created them as. Ten years ago this whole trans issue was never even an issue! So what happened? It was a combination of the breakdown of the family, the better percentage of the last 3 generations who have never been to church, a rogue media who willingly promotes the gender confusion narrative, pushing this gender insanity on social media platforms, and using the schools starting at kindergarten to push gender confusion on children who have no clue about these issues. It is difficult enough as children grow up, the hectic teenage years, and into young adulthood. Adding this gender confusion lie into the mix by adults, many for pure profit, is disgusting. Remember, this is just another element in the ultimate decriminalizing of pedophilia and adult/child sex and marriage! Pray since this vile attack is on the most vulnerable in our society and sadly is largely happening with the full support of the parents of these children!

I am saddened every morning as I open the business page to read about another company laying off thousands of people. While it is only a number in a story to most, the fact is each number is a very real life, with a very real family, that will probably be facing very real financial issues because of losing their job. While there is never a good time to lose your job, it is especially difficult at this time of year. Sadly during the Biden years, this hardship has been experienced by millions of people!

We are expected to buy gifts for our family and close friends. We are expected to decorate our homes. We are expected to attend various parties and events. All of these require EXTRA MONEY, over and above our normal monthly living expenses. This time of year that is supposed to be personified in the word JOY, quickly becomes a nightmare for many who simply don't have the money to do all they feel they are expected to do.

First, let me reiterate the point I made last week. Christmas is NOT about gifts. Christmas is NOT about decorating your house. Christmas is NOT about parties. Christmas is the day each year that we set aside to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is HIS birthday. THAT is what Christmas is all about, celebrating the birth of our Lord.

Of course, it is impossible to deny the gross commercialism that marks this time of the year but we have choices. We CHOOSE to get caught up in how the world celebrates Christmas. I have yet to read a news account of someone who was forced at gunpoint to go to the local shopping mall and spend thousands of dollars on presents. I realize that if you have children, being able to provide them presents on Christmas morning is important.

However, what is MORE important is making them aware of what Christmas is really about. The greatest gift that you can give your children this Christmas is NOT some toy that they will forget about in a month. The greatest gift that you can give your children this Christmas is the knowledge of what this blessed day is really about . . . the birth of our Savior!

Some practical ways that you can do this is by attending some of the fabulous Christmas pageants many churches now put on. In many cities, some of the larger churches put on incredible, professionally-produced Christmas programs that do a marvelous job of telling the story of Christ's birth. Taking your children to see these great productions will be fun and help them understand the true meaning of Christmas.

Another great thing to do with your children is to teach them that Christmas is NOT about getting presents but about giving to others. Getting them involved in helping to prepare a bag of groceries that you give to a ministry feeding the homeless is a very easy way to help them learn the blessing of giving.

Within your own home, sitting down with the entire family and reading the Christmas Story in Luke Chapter 2 and spending time as a family in prayer thanking God for the wonderful gift that He gave this world that first Christmas all help your children learn that Christmas is the time we set aside each year to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. YOUR CHILDREN WILL CARRY THESE MEMORIES AND THE REAL REASON OF CHRISTMAS WITH THEM FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIFE!

I love and care about you so much. My heart breaks as I read about those who have lost their jobs this past year, knowing the financial hardship that will be on them and their family. Each day at Liveprayer, we respond to thousands of people who are in this situation. It becomes magnified at this time of the year, because of the pressure the world has put on us to "participate" in how it celebrates Christmas.

My word for you today is that you don't have to fall into the trap of buying lots of gifts, or decorating your home, or going to all the parties. Those things are NOT what Christmas is about. The true peace of this season, the true joy of this season, comes from celebrating the birth of Jesus. HE is the reason for the season. The greatest gift that you can give someone this Christmas is to share with them the REAL meaning of Christmas.

The greatest gift you can receive this Christmas, was given over 2000 years ago when God gave you His son Jesus!!!
