Pray for those throughout the country affected by the recent storms! and, Praying when times are good!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY OCTOBER 13, 2024

(Deuteronomy 32:15)

***PERSONAL MESSAGE FOR YOU FROM BILL KELLER: 23 days until the election! Pray this prayer every morning until after the election! Jeremiah 18:8: “If that nation against whom I have pronounced, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them!”

Please continue to pray for the victims of Hurricane Helene and for those in Florida who are now dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Milton! Ask the Lord to comfort those who have lost loved ones in these two storms, and to give strength and hope to those who are forced to rebuild their lives after losing everything!

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, give me a passion, a hunger for Your Word. Let me wake up each day, excited what You will show me that day from that precious Word of God. Help me Lord each day to not just be a reader of the Word, but a DOER of the Word. In the name of Jesus I pray…AMEN!!!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: Please continue to pray for those who have lost loved ones as well as those who have been affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton over the last couple of weeks. Sadly, after the initial hit, the media coverage begins to fade and with newer events in the news people tend to move on.

There are still tens of thousands of people in northern Georgia, eastern Georgia, and western North Carolina who are mourning the loss of loved ones and those who have lost everything. Praise God for the private organizations who were there day one and have done a great job providing relief and hope for those dear souls. The state and federal governments are finally involved and let’s pray that they will help these people move forward with their lives as quickly as possible. Also, pray for these dear souls find the comfort only the Lord can provide in the midst of such loss and devastation.

Also, over the last few days we have millions more of our people throughout Florida devastated by Hurricane Milton and hundreds of tornadoes associated with that monster storm. Currently 16 have been reported dead, most from the tornadoes, millions still without power and water, and so many dealing with the loss of their homes and businesses. Again, pray for these dear souls to know the Lord’s strength and comfort in their time of great need.

The Lord is the only true hope we have in this life and for eternity. This life is brief to begin with, and in an instant can dramatically change as so many of our fellow citizens have found out in the past two weeks. None of us are immune from life’s trials and tribulations and that is why we must press into our faith in the Lord each day, so that when the storms of life come upon us we repeat the line of that great hymn of our faith, it is well with my soul! AMEN!

So as we are nearly 2 weeks into October, we can now focus on the $55,000 we required for our September ministry operations and the $55,000 we require for October. That is $110,000 over the final weeks of October to end the month with all of our ministry operations current. AMEN!

The Bible teaches us to “give according to our ability to give.” For some that may be $10 or $20. For others it may be $50 or $100. Still others it may be $200, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or more. GOD WILL BLESS YOUR GIFT NO MATTER WHAT THE AMOUNT!!!

How often do we look to the Lord in our time of need, and once things are going better, seem to forget He even exists. When the pressure is on, when the world is crashing down around us, we will usually turn to God for help. We will usually turn to God to save us from, in most cases, the consequences of our own rebellion. God is faithful and loves us, and as things start to get better, we often forget His name.

So many days I address the problems and struggles of everyday life with you. Most days, I focus on how to get through the storms of life and be victorious. But today I want to focus on those times when things are NOT going bad. Those times when you are NOT in the midst of a storm or crisis.

Just as we need to turn to God in our hour of need, so we need to turn to God in our hour of blessing. It is usually those times of blessing that we end up getting in trouble because it is in the hour of blessing we often forget God. If you have ever listened to anything I have told you, listen to this.

IT IS USUALLY IN OUR HOUR OF BLESSING THAT WE END UP GETTING IN TROUBLE, BECAUSE IT IS IN OUR HOUR OF BLESSING THAT WE OFTEN FORGET GOD!!!

This is a very simple word for you today. It is not complicated. It is a simple warning for God to NEVER forget the Lord your God. Most of you are not in the middle of any great crisis and your life is going well. Many of you are enjoying the Lord's blessings in your life. Again I tell you. Don't forget God in the good times.

I have always used those seasons of blessing to try and focus even harder on my intimate daily relationship with the Lord because there are always going to be problems and challenges in this life. I have tried to strengthen myself in those seasons of rest so that when the storms do come, and they will come, I am better prepared to handle them. You might call it preventive spiritual maintenance.

I love you and care for you and am praying for you. My prayer for you today is that you will recognize your daily need for the Lord no matter how bad things may be presently, or how great things may be. Focus on Him each and every day. Let Him be the center of your life in the good times and the difficult times. He loves you, blesses you because of His love for you, and wants you to never ever forget that He is your God. Don't forget Him.
