DAILY DEVOTIONAL SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2024

(James 1:22)

***PERSONAL MESSAGE FOR YOU FROM BILL KELLER: Please be in prayer for the victims of Hurricane Helene. Sadly there has been much death and destruction in several states from this monster storm. 39 days until the election! Pray this prayer every morning until after the election! Jeremiah 18:8: “If that nation against whom I have pronounced , turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them!”

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, my simple prayer today is for You to give the heart I need so that I can be KIND to every person I encounter throughout the day. Family, neighbors, co-workers, friends, and strangers, let me be KIND to each person You bring across my path. Give me heartfelt kindness that can only come from You! In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!!!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: If you doubt that the globalists running the country aren’t ruling with an iron fist, just look at the indictment the other day of NY City Mayor Eric Adams. For the record Adams is a lifetime Democrat and until recently was part of Biden’s re-election committee. Adams was indicted for accepting gifts from the Turkish government along with fraudulently accepting millions in illegal campaign contributions. Much of what Adams is accused of doing dates back 7-9 years! Obviously he is innocent until proven guilty and I am not making light of what Adams is charged with, but you can probably find these types of activities committed by most politicians who have been around 10 years or longer! So why is he being charged now? Simple, Adams kept bringing attention to the insane border policies of the Biden/Harris Administration as NYC has been flooded with 10’s of thousands of illegals forcing the city to pay billions to support them. Adams wanted the Federal government to reimburse the city for much of the money they had to expend in caring for the surge of illegals, and the Biden/Harris Administration wasn’t happy he was shining a light on the failed border issue. SO THEY MADE AN EXAMPLE OF HIM! This isn’t the first time the weaponized Biden/Harris DOJ went after one of their own. New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez had a corruption trial end in a hung jury a few years ago. However, the DOJ continued to investigate Menendez and he is now facing a major corruption/bribery trial next year and has resigned his Senate seat. In Texas, Democrat Congressman Henry Cuellar has been a vocal critic of the Biden/Harris border policies. Guess what, his home was raided by the FBI in conjunction with an investigation into his own potential bribery issues. So while they have launched an unprecedented lawfare attack on President Trump, they have no problem taking out their own if they get out of line. These are very evil people. By the way, Nancy Pelosi’s husband just sold thousands of shares of VISA stock, just 2 days before the DOJ launched a massive lawsuit against the credit card giant! Washington DC is one corrupt and evil place where those who are part of the ruling regime can get away with anything, and those who oppose the ruling regime will be punished. Thankfully, each person will receive true just judgement when we take our last breath and stand before God our Creator!

So many Christians are content to sit on the sidelines, listening, watching, experiencing the fullness of the Christian life vicariously through others. What I am about to say is going to get me in trouble, but it won't be the first time. One of the popular Christian magazines each month has become little more than an advertising vehicle for this Holy Ghost Conference, that Camp meeting of the Millennium, the annual Partners Only Crusade, Women's meetings, Men's meetings, and on, and on, and on.

Listen, I am in no way trying to minimize, judge, or criticize what other ministries are doing. My Bible says that we need to be united, support one another, and that God is working through many different types of instruments. The point I want to make is that the people of God have gotten very fat and lazy with all of the Christian celebrities and the Christian entertainment that our culture has produced.

Again, there is nothing wrong with producing the finest quality radio, television, movie, and stage productions to help share the message of Christ. The point I am trying to get across is that it has made too many of God's people lazy and more comfortable sitting on the sidelines watching, which was never God's plan.

I am a big believer in education and listening to God's anointed teachers of the Word to learn all we can. But while we are hearing the Word, we, also, must be doing the Word. All of the commands in the Gospels, the Book of Acts, Paul's letters, and the other New Testament writings were to be active participants in our faith, helping others, witnessing, teaching new believers.

Spiritual gifts have become such a controversial topic and I will deal with that issue soon, but God gave gifts to His people to be active DOERS of the Word, not idle bystanders. He has given each one of His children gifts and abilities to help advance the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught in many parables that it is a sin to not utilize the gifts God has given you. In past Devotionals I spoke of the sin of omission. I want to make sure you clearly understand today, that it is a sin to NOT use the gifts and talents God has blessed you with to serve Him.

That does not mean you have to quit your job and become a missionary to a third-world country, or sell everything to start a ministry. God may call you to do that. However, for most of His children, He has called you to serve Him exactly where you are today. It is no accident you live where you live, go to school where you do, work where you do, or recreate and shop where you do.

God has placed you there strategically to be a light to others. The most effective way we can serve God is in our normal day-to-day life. Letting our Godly lifestyle be a living testimony to those we come in contact with. Helping those around us in a time of need. Getting involved in projects and ministries through our local church.

I love and care about you so much. I will be praying for you today, that these words will cause you to stop and reflect on your life. Ask yourself if you are on the sidelines or are actively living the Christian life God has called you to live. Are you using your gifts and talents for Him? Take inventory today of whether you are not only hearing the Word, but DOING the Word.

I care about you and love you as a brother and sister in Christ. I want to see you be all you can be and all God has called you to be for Him. Remember, our greatest and most effective service is rarely those big things we may be involved in for the Kingdom, but the quiet, one-on-one ministry to someone who is hurting and looking for hope. Everyone who knows Christ can tell someone that Jesus loves them.

Everyone that knows Christ can testify to what Jesus has meant in their life. Everyone who knows Christ can share the love and hope we have in Him with someone. Doing that makes you a DOER of the Word!
