The government is now targeting its’ own citizens! and, A Biblical answer to government surveillance!

DAILY DEVOTIONAL FRIDAY JANUARY 14, 2022

(Romans Chapter 10)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Lord, even though we have no right to ask, please continue to watch over this nation. Thank You for showing us the clear signs of destruction our sin and rebellion have heaped upon our land. Give me strength as days of Your judgment are upon us, and let me stand strong to help lead our nation back to You and Your Kingdom. In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: In the aftermath of 9/11, Congress gave the US Intel and law enforcement agencies sweeping powers by passing the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act was designed to protect our nation from foreign agents who were out to destroy our nation. IT WAS NEVER DESIGNED TO BE USED AGAINST US CITIZENS! Early in the Obama Administration he weaponized the IRS to target Tea Party groups who organized to combat Obamacare and other Obama policies. Of course we know at the end of his Presidency, he weaponized the US Intel community who legally can’t target US citizens, to do just that in trying to defeat Donald Trump from becoming President, and after he was elected to destroy his Presidency. We also know that the upper echelons of the Obama FBI and DOJ were actively committing criminal offenses and lying to Congress, the public, and eventually Inspector General’s looking into their activities to stop Trump from becoming President and working to undermine his administration. IG reports, de-classified documents, and the little we have learned from the ongoing Special Counsel Durham investigation all prove that there was NO Russian collusion, it was a story concocted by the Hillary Clinton campaign to take the heat off of her illegal server. THAT MEANS THE OBAMA AND THOSE IN THE WEST WING, HIS INTEL AGENCIES, FBI, AND DOJ, ALONG WITH THE CORPORATE MEDIA ALL KNEW FROM VIRTUALLY DAY ONE THE RUSSIA STORY WAS A LIE THAT WAS BEING USED TO TARGET THE NOMINEE OF ONE OF THE MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES WHO EVENTUALLY BECAME THE PRESIDENT IN ADDITION TO DOZENS OF US CITIZENS! For the record, those who have opposed the Patriot Act have always done so based on their fears one day it would be used to unleash the power of the US government on its’ own citizens! THAT FEAR HAS BEEN REALIZED AND WITH OBAMA PULLING BIDEN’S PUPPET STRINGS IS WITHOUT ANY PRETENSE NOW DIRECTLY TARGETING THE 75 MILLION PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR DONALD TRUMP IN 2020. OUR OWN GOVERNMENT HAS PUBLICLY DECLARED THEM TO BE DOMESTIC TERRORISTS! THIS SHOULD SEND CHILLS UP THE SPINE OF EVERY US CITIZEN REGARDLESS OF OUR POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS SINCE TODAY THE GOVERNMENT MAY BE AIMED AT TRUMP VOTERS, TOMORROW IT COULD BE AIMED AT DEMOCRATS!!! The FBI has announced the formation of a new task force to go after “domestic terrorists.” This task force is NOT going after ANTIFA or BLM for their 500+ riots and acts of terror in 2020 that resulted in billions of dollars of property damage and loss, tens of millions of dollars of merchandise looted, over 1200 city, state, and federal law enforcement officers assaulted and injured, and over 2 dozen deaths. This task force is also not going after the surge of illegals with criminal records, many with gang and cartel affiliations, who have come into our country to commit more crimes. They are not going after the massive influx of drugs coming in through our purposely open southern border, or the increase in human traffickers. No my friend, this task force is going to target parents who dare to question local school boards about what they are teaching their children, those who protest the health tyranny that exists in so many states, people who oppose the failed policies of the Biden Administration, and to be blunt, white, Christian, Trump supporters who have committed no crimes other than they are white, Christian, Trump voters!!! People who have immigrated to this country LEGALLY, who have come from places like Russia, China, Venezuela, and Cuba to name a few oppressive governments, have said this targeting of political opponents by the government in power is one of the reasons they left their homeland. SADLY IN 2022, THE UNITED STATES IS NO BETTER THAN THE PLACES THEY RAN FROM! Let me remind you my friend, this is what a nation under the judgment of God looks like!!!

A Biblical answer to the NSA. First, let me say up front that Edward Snowden, the low-level contract employee who had ZERO authority to leak the information he did, is a traitor to this nation and deserves to be brought back from Russia, tried for treason, and if convicted, face the firing squad! Since when did anyone with a security clearance to do their job, determine what secrets the American people need to know about? According to that logic, the entire intelligence community would become totally worthless and ineffective in protecting our nation from those who seek to destroy it!

Snowden is no different than WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and the openly gay soldier Bradley Manning. Several years ago Manning was convicted of stealing and giving to WikiLeaks 750,000 top secret documents. He has stated in the past that part of his motivation was that the military didn't properly treat enlisted men and women who CHOOSE to engage in perverted sex with someone of the same sex. Manning is so lost and confused, mentally unbalanced, that he says he is no longer a man but a woman, and changed his name to Chelsea!

As I stated when Manning’s crimes came to the light of day, he was not a hero as some portrayed him to be, but a traitor who deserves to be put to death for compromising our nation's secrets! Snowden is NO DIFFERENT and if found guilty should receive the death penalty, not just for his crimes, but to deter others who think they are somehow "righteous" by disclosing our most critical top secret documents for the world (including our enemies) to see!

*Snowden has been in exile in Russia for many years now, where Putin is more than happy to house and protect him from being taken back to the United States.

Having said that, let me deal with this issue from a perspective you won't hear in the media. Anyone with common sense should have automatically assumed the government knows every phone call we make and everything we do online. Liveprayer has been online for 23 years, and has helped to pioneer much of the interactivity on the Internet that thousands of others are now using. I told people when we first launched in 1999 that anyone who thinks they have ANY privacy online needs to wake up. If you talk on a cell phone, if you have any activity on the computer, just assume the government is listening and watching with the ability to capture ever transmitted word.

Does that give our government a pass to spy on its citizens? Absolutely not! There are many Constitutional violations that legal experts have been pointing out. However, I want to deal with how this hotly debated issue should be looked at by people of faith from a Biblical worldview.

Never forget, the Bible commands us to be subject to the government that rules us. We are to pray for our leaders daily. Liveprayer as a ministry has prayed for our President’s and their families, starting with the Clintons when we first signed on, and that they would become true followers of Jesus Christ. Whether I agree or disagree with what our government does, I have a Biblical duty to be a good citizen and pray for our leaders.

That does NOT mean I can't and won't speak out when the government is violating what God's Word teaches. Anyone who has read my Daily Devotional for any length of time knows that I call out this government often for their support of killing innocent babies, promoting sinful sexual conduct, and coddling the enemies of Israel to name a few.

Never forget that the government in place when the New Testament was written was Rome that persecuted Christians and sought to wipe Christianity off the face of the globe! Listen carefully!!! That did NOT stop Paul and the early church from preaching the Gospel and taking it to the world of their day. Paul took advantage of his freedoms to go on his various missionary journeys to plant churches and preach the Gospel without compromise!

At the end of the day, we can't get distracted and must focus on and work on the things we have some control over. We have virtually ZERO control of what the government does and does not do. ZERO. We never have or ever will. I choose to focus my time, attention, and energy on those things I CAN control. That is why I choose to use whatever freedoms and liberties I have to preach the Gospel to the world, pray for people in their time of need, and take God's Truth into the marketplace that is virtually void of Biblical Truth!

I love you and care about you so much. My word to you today is this. Unless you have a significant position in the US Government, working with the NSA or CIA, there is NOTHING you can do about whether the government is or is not spying on its' citizens. What you DO have control over is your choice each day to be a bold witness for the Lord or go about your life in silence. As the final days unfold we know followers of Christ even in this nation will be targets of persecution for our faith, even by our own government.

Personally, I refuse to take my eye off of the prize. This nation is in spiritual freefall. It is not political problems that plague us. It is not the revelation that our government is most likely spying on its citizens that plagues us. Our problems in this nation are SPIRITUAL, and only turning back to God and Biblical Truth can save our land.

As I tell you often, satan is the great perverter. He is also the great distracter! Don't let the never-ending scandals regarding our government distract you. Stay focused on those things you can do each day to share the Gospel and take a stand for God's Truth in the Bible. God will eventually work out all of these political challenges, but it is up to us to work out the very real spiritual problems that will eventually bring this nation to its' knees and possibly end our existence as so many great, powerful, and wealthy nations have been wiped out in the course of human history!

The bottom line is for Christians to keep sharing the Gospel and the hope we have in Christ, like Paul and those in the early church did despite living under an oppressive government that sought to destroy them!!!
