What will happen in 2020! (Part One of Two)

(Jeremiah 29:11)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, as this new year unfolds, help us to never forget that tomorrow is promised to none of us. Each day is truly a gift from You! Let us focus each day on the special gift that day is and not take even ONE DAY for granted, since it is a day like none other and once it is over will never come back. During each day You bless us with Lord, let us make sure to focus on making our life count for You in some way. In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!!!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: Canada, just a little behind Europe in regard to its’ spiritual darkness, is pushing the death of older people through Dr. assisted suicide and euthanasia. Canada of course has national healthcare as do the countries in Europe. The problem they all have is that there is a finite amount of money available each year for the healthcare of their citizens. At some point, there has to be decisions made on how to best allocate those finite dollars. So if you have two people who need a heart, one is 72 years old, the other is 29 years old, the 29 year old gets the heart and the 72 year old is left to die. I am sorry my friend, but that is simply the FACTS of how socialized medicine works. So it is not surprising that these governments are big proponents of not just killing innocent babies, but killing people at the other end of the life spectrum. Oh, there is another incentive for encouraging old people to kill themselves. Apparently there is a huge market for any of their organs that are still in good shape. We know that the baby killing organizations not just make billions from slaughtering innocent babies, but selling their organs afterwards. This my friend is what a society without God looks like. Heinous, barbaric actions that we have a hard time believing actually exist. They not only exist, but as we are now a post-God, post-Christian nation, THEY EXIST HERE!!!

What will happen in 2020! (Part One of Two)

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

As we are in the opening days of 2020, I wanted to take time today to share with you my thoughts on what this new year may have in store for us. I AM NOT CLAIMING ANY PROPHETIC UTTERANCES! Dealing with a worldwide audience literally every day for over 20 years now, I do have a very good feel for what is going on in our world, our nation, in every aspect of life, and what it means in the context of our faith.

There is no exact order of what I am sharing with you, and I am not going into great depth at this time since these are all things that I expect to be happening over the course of 2020. I am certain as key issues rise in importance, I will dedicate entire Daily Devotionals to that issue and go in much more depth at that time.

Please pray over these words and keep them throughout the year to see what things are actually happening, what things are still to unfold, and no doubt some issues that I didn’t address at all.

-Politics: The man-made institution of politics is inherently evil, playing on man’s basest cravings. However, it is the best system there is to govern the daily lives and activities of large groups of people. It is also why God separated the political leader from the spiritual leader! God puts men in power and takes men out of power. That is true of all elected officials from local dog catcher to the President of the United States. With 2020 being a Presidential election year I believe President Trump will be easily re-elected, the Republicans holding the Senate, and re-taking the House. The historical power of the incumbency, the strong economic numbers, the partisan impeachment effort by the Democrats, and the far-left ideology and anti-American values of several high profile politicians, all will come together to produce what looks like today a clean sweep of power by the Republicans for at least for the next two years.

-Economy: World events totally outside the control of any people in this country can dramatically affect our economy almost overnight. Like never before in history, the global economy is not just very real, but also very dangerous since once again, bad decisions and policies in other countries can affect our economy here in the US no matter how strong it may be. In reality, the fact is people in power around the world have a vested interest in not allowing any of the world’s economic powers falter to the point it hurts the economies of other major nations. That reality should keep our strong economy humming along during 2020.

-2nd Amendment: We are sadly going to see a real fight over gun ownership. Starting in Virginia, plus New York, California, and no doubt some others, states with Democratic governors and legislatures will be passing what will probably be deemed in the end unConstitutional anti-gun laws. There is no more hiding the fact that there is a percentage of people who want to confiscate the guns of law abiding citizens. To what extent they will try to accomplish this will determine how ugly this gets. If there are literally agents of the state going to someone’s house to take away their lawful firearms, there is going to be violence. This actually sounds like the exact reason the founder put in the 2nd Amendment!

-Life: 2019 was the year of life. Never before have we had such real movement in the restriction of abortion in the nation. There is for once, a real possibility that Roe vs. Wade will be overturned. Don’t forget if that would happen it sends the issue back to the states and my guess is 30 states would still perform abortions and 20 states would prohibit all abortions. Even if abortion was totally outlawed in the country, it would still exist. Like salvation, we must ultimately change hearts one at a time!

-Technology: Technology will continue to astound us. The common thread of course is that all technology is internet based. It is now apparent that anything you do online through a computer, tablet, phone, TV, or other devices, is designed to acquire every ounce of information possible. We also know that all of those mountains of information are exposed to hackers as is any device you use that is connected to the internet. Of course, all of those concerns are mostly from people 50 years and older and will become less important as that demographic dies off.

I love and care about you so much! I will be dealing with what to be watching for in the church and our culture during 2020. There is no doubt that the “fake church” will continue to rise up as we have crossed the line and are now a post-God, post-Christian nation.

Sadly, despite a roaring economy and a mature, advanced society, raw violence will be seen throughout the United States in 2020. We will be witnessing the manifestations of the spiritual decline that has occurred over the last 50 years. Evil will always rise up to occupy the space goodness once did!

Never forget my friend, the Bible tells us Jesus is coming back in the “twinkling of an eye!” We often forget or simply don’t really believe this Biblical Truth. So, while only God knows the exact hour and minute, we are commanded to be prepared. While so much that will happen during 2020 is beyond our ability to control, our personal relationship with the Lord is 100% within our power!!! AMEN!!!
