***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, open my eyes to see this world clearly, and show me what You want me to do to serve You in these times we live. You and You alone will have the last word Lord. Let me see this lost world through Your eyes and with Your heart and help to lead the lost and hurting to find Your hope, strength, peace, and salvation! In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

***THE DAILY LIVEPRAYER TV NUGGET: If you want a great example of how insane these times we are living in have become, here you go. A Native American tribe has ascribed “personhood” on a river. Yes, a river, a body of water. They made this strange move in order to protect that river which flowed through their land from man and the climate. I found this quite interesting since as you may be aware, many states have been trying to declare babies in the womb as “persons” in order to protect their lives like our laws do for any other living person. To date these attempts have failed as the pro-baby killing legal community have fought back stating that you can’t assign personhood to a living human being in the womb. I will assure you that not ONE of these fanatical legal groups fighting to block REAL LIVING PERSONS from being declared as such, will not even care if somehow a Native American tribe is successful in assigning personhood on a river. A RIVER!!!

Part Two of Three

“...but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world...” John 15:19

The world we are living in for this season. Today is Part Two of a very different 3-PART Daily Devotional series on recent major events and news stories in the United States and around the world that are shaping the culture we live in today. DO NOT MISS PART THREE TOMORROW!

It is critical for Christians to clearly understand the culture around us so that we can be the Lord’s agents of change as He has commanded us to be. May the Lord guide us each day by His Spirit as we faithfully serve Him!!!

-Over 40% of the people in the country now get their “news” from social media. They don’t watch TV news, they certainly don’t read newspapers, and most don’t even go to news sites on the internet. Their news comes from what major social media giants like Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, and others CHOOSES FOR THEM TO SEE! In the next 20 years, that 40% will swell to over 80% as the older generation dies out.

For Christians, that means our message, our ability to reach people is that much more diminished since the news chosen by these social media giants will be geared towards an ideology they agree with and issues they want to promote. Let me assure you my friend, THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE AND THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WILL NOT BE PART OF WHAT THEY ALLOW PEOPLE TO SEE!!!

-The World Health Organization (WHO) has now listed pornography as a public health risk. Recently they have listed “burn out” and video gaming as public health risks. It is interesting since I have been talking about the public health risk to individuals and the culture pornography and video gaming are for the past 20 yrs. I have also done many Daily Devotionals on time management and handling the pressures of our jobs and the daily grind of life often in the 2 decades we have been online. It is nice to see at least the health professionals are acknowledging these harmful issues affecting many people’s lives.

-The homeless population in our country is growing daily. We have always had a problem with the homeless, but most communities kept it under control with the assistance of private organizations, mostly faith-based, caring for those people living on the streets. However, it is now an epidemic and obviously totally beyond the control of local cities and municipalities. Permanent homeless “tent villages” have popped up in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, New Orleans, Dallas, New York, Chicago, to name a few.

These are people who have no other place to live, with their common bond being untreated mental illness, drug addiction, and committing crimes. This has also become a major health risk with tons of garbage, huge populations of rats, and literally raw sewage on the streets. Yes, these people are literally urinating and defecating in the street like animals!

Unbelievably, these cities have pretty much decided rather than deal with this issue, they are simply throwing their hands up and turning a blind eye to this growing health and humanitarian crisis. 60,000 on the streets of Los Angeles alone! How can this be in the United States of America in 2019?

-A 17-year-old girl in the Netherlands was euthanized. She was raped as a child and apparently never got the professional help that any person going through such a traumatic event would need. She spoke of her life being unbearable and wanted to die. The Netherlands was once of the first places to adopt liberal euthanasia laws. Sadly many more countries now have these laws on the books, as well as 8 states here in the US with more coming on board.

It should not be a shock since as I warned for many years now, when we are slaughtering apx 4,000 innocent babies each day, it was only a matter of time when we began targeting older people, and soon it will be anyone of any age whose life is deemed to be not be valuable.

-I find it ironic. After 3 Democratic debates, 6 hours of questioning to 20+ people, in trying and determine who their party’s nominee for President will be, there has not been ONE QUESTION about abortion. NONE! ZERO! NADA! The fact is, every single one of these nominees supports the slaughter of innocent babies right up to the moment of birth, and in some states, they can still kill the baby if the abortion attempt fails and the child is born alive! I can assure you, whoever the Democratic nominee is will not be able to escape being put on the record on this issue even if it is from President Trump himself in the Presidential debates.

-If you do not buy into the climate hysteria, proponents will call you a “climate denier,” as someone who doesn’t believe in “science.” These are the same people who deny that the living being inside of a woman is a baby. These are the same people who will tell you there are more than 2 genders, some saying there are as many as 100! Yet it is these people who rip those who don’t buy into the climate change scam as “science deniers.”

-Pray for the people of Hong Kong. We have prayed so much for our persecuted brothers and sisters in China and continue to. Please try to add them to your prayers as well. The Chinese lease of Hong Kong to Great Britain ended in 1997. The Chinese govt. signed a 50 year contract with Hong Kong to govern themselves as a transition to full Chinese control. 22 years into that contract China doesn’t want to wait until the end. They want full control now.

Obviously the people of Hong Kong are upset, and many times 2 million of the 7 million people living there have been protesting. Those protests are getting more violent and my guess is at some point the Chinese government will come in with force and end the protests and take full control of Hong Kong. Sadly, many will die, the people of Hong Kong will be put under the same thumb of the Chinese government as those living on the mainland are. Worse, the free and open worship of Christ in Hong Kong will be shut down just as it has in Mainland China.

-The California legislature like the Communist Chinese government is trying to pass a law that pastors in the state of California MUST AFFIRM the sin of homosexuality and the lie of the mental health condition known as transgenderism. If you think this can’t happen, the State of New York has passed legislation stating you can be fined if you call someone an “illegal alien” or tell someone that “you are going to call ICE on them.” I guess the lawmakers in California and New York skipped the First Amendment!!!

I love you and care about you so much! This is a challenge to stay educated about the world we live in but are not part of, in order to the best ambassadors of Christ we can be as we share His love and hope with this lost and hurting world!
