The world we are living in for this season. Part One of Three

(John 15:19)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, open my eyes to see this world clearly, and show me what You want me to do to serve You in these times we live. You and You alone will have the last word Lord. Let me see this lost world through Your eyes and with Your heart and help to lead the lost and hurting to find Your hope, strength, peace, and salvation! In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

Part One of Three

“...but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world...” John 15:19

The world we are living in for this season. Today is Part One of a very different 3-PART Daily Devotional series on recent major events and news stories in the United States and around the world that are shaping the culture we live in today. DO NOT MISS PART TWO TOMORROW!

It is critical for Christians to clearly understand the culture around us so that we can be the Lord’s agents of change as He has commanded us to be. May the Lord guide us each day by His Spirit as we faithfully serve Him!!!

*VP Mike Pence was the commencement speaker at Liberty University for their graduating class. Of all the things VP Pence spoke about during his address, the most important issue was the warning about increased persecution of Christians in our culture. It was a very wise and timely warning, as never before those who believe in Biblical Truth and faith in Christ or being singled out in our culture not just for ridicule, but persecution of all kind. From having our beliefs censored in most mainstream venues, to discrimination in the workplace, to forcing people of faith to compromise their beliefs or face some sort of penalty.

*A Texas school system has declared that a person’s gender is determined by how that person feels! So if a biological male wakes up one day and “feels” like a female, that person must be treated as a female. If a biological female wakes up on morning and “feels” like a male, that person must be treated as a male. Isn’t it amazing that when you go against God’s simple order of things, how much chaos ensues?

*COGIC, the Church of God in Christ and the largest denomination of black churches in the nation, has taken a bold stand on the fact that abortion is murder! Far too many black churches and pastors compromise on this issue due to a connection with Democratic politics. While only 13% of our population is black, apx. 40% of abortions are black babies. The evil tool of satan, Margaret Sanger, founded Planned Parenthood in the early 1900s in order to wipe out the black race. Since Roe wwnt into effect in 1973, abortion has murdered apx. 26 MILLION black babies!

*The military is lamenting the fact recruiting is way down over the past decade. They also state that even those who want to be part of the military are often overweight and in terrible physical shape, woefully under-educated, and often with drug use in their history that precludes them being part of the US military.

*For people entering that final season of life, if you spend some of your last years in an assisted living facility, it is very likely that your 1 companion will be...a robot! Robot use as “friends” for the elderly is being seen more and more in Asia and no doubt will become more acceptable and common here in the United States in the coming years.

*A mega-church in Atlanta has recently hired as part of their staff a “psychic.” In a day of where we see more and more watered down and compromised pastors and churches, is it any wonder why when a Christian church hires someone who is involved in satanic practices to counsel their members! Psychics, witches, mediums are all part of satanic practices the Bible clearly rejects and calls sin. Sadly, King Saul ended a life that was largely devoted to the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, by visiting the witch of Endor. How sad it is to compromise the Truth of God for the lies of satan!!!

*Years ago, the state of Georgia created some great incentives for Hollywood productions to shoot in their state. Over this past year, Georgia has passed some laws that put restrictions on having an abortion to cut down how many babies are murdered in their state each day. In response, many actors started a campaign to boycott filming in Georgia. As with most of these types of boycotts, they get lots of attention initially, but rarely amount to much as time goes on.

*I talk about the spiritual state of Europe often, since the United States is lagging about 30-40 years behind. Over the past years, there has been a 50% drop in attendance in German churches. In Italy, just belief in God is down over 10%. The simple fact is that Europe is for all intensive purposes is spiritually dark, a fate that we can expect in the United States unless we repent of our sins and rebellion and turn back to God and His Truth.

*Pope Francis is the most socially liberal Pope we have seen in modern times. Rather than spreading the Gospel, he is much more likely to be advocating for illegal immigrants. The relatively unfettered mass migration of Muslims into Europe from Northern Africa and Syria, has resulted in a civil nightmare for most European countries. A government official in Italy wanted a Papal blessing, but was denied due to his strong anti-immigrant beliefs. For everyone who balks at President Trump and his goal of creating a wall on our southern border, there has never been a more effective use of a wall then at Vatican City to help protect the Pope!

*The nation that presents the greatest global threat to the United States is without a doubt is China! We have helped build modern day China due to our trade deficit that over decades has never been addressed. China without shame or even hiding it very much, steals the intellectual property of any company they do business with. Chines hackers that breach the computer systems of both private and government entities to steal sensitive information is a never ending problem. Many US universities are not just educating tens of thousands of Chinese nationals each year, but in the zeal for funds, allow Chinese front groups representing the government to access any information of value from a school various departments.

US high tech companies have helped China created a sophisticated surveillance network so their government can keep track of each of their apx. 1.2 billion citizens. The Chinese military is as technologically sophisticated and powerful as any military on earth, including the United States. While we in the United States tend to look at most issues in year and decades, China focuses on 100 and 1,000 year goals!

Lastly, the Chinese government has been a great persecutor of Christians. Their philosophy is that one Chines Christian is one less Chinese citizen. As false as that may be, they have effectively shut down the Christian church in China by burning churches, imprisoning people for just going to church, and torturing and killing pastors and Christian leaders. From the standpoint of the Chinese government, there is no place for both the Christian church and the Chinese government!

I love you and care about you so much! This is a challenge to stay educated about the world we live in but are not part of, in order to the best ambassadors of Christ we can be as we share His love and hope with this lost and hurting world!
