The real story of the Covington High School kids controversy!

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Father, I know this is an evil and sin-filled world I live in. Please, protect me, but don't let me be afraid. Let me be bold in declaring Your Truth to this lost world and not be afraid to speak up. Now more than ever I need Your strength to be the servant You have called me to be. Help me, strengthen me, and guide me to do Thy will. In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

The real story of the Covington High School kids controversy! Most people by now have heard of the event in Washington DC the weekend before last involving a group of high school boys from a Catholic High School in Covington, Kentucky. I actually wrote much of this Daily Devotional early last week, but it seemed every day the story was moving, it didn’t seem to settle and I am glad I waited. In reality, it never should have been a story in the first place. Once it did, it should have been over in a day at most. As each day passed, it became an incredible teaching moment. All who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, MUST understand what this seemingly isolated event is saying!

This non-story became a HUGE story when a group of high schoolers from a Catholic High School in Covington, Kentucky went to Washington DC to take part in the 46th annual “March for Life.” The 46th anniversary of this march commemorates the saddest court ruling in our nation’s history, Roe v. Wade, that legalized infanticide in this nation. Not that you would know if you watched any news on major mainstream outlets the weekend before last, but over 100,000 came to Washington DC to take part in this march for LIFE!

As the march ended, the high schoolers were gathered on the Mall waiting for their buses to take them back to Kentucky. As they waited, they were being yelled at and taunted with vile racist and profane language by a group associated with the Black Hebrew Israelites. This is a group of Black Americans who believe that they are descendants of the ancient Israelites and pushes a very racist ideology, often with violence. The entire premise of this group is totally false and without any scientific proof they have lineage to the Jewish people.

As the Black Hebrew Israelites were screaming disgusting comments at the high school kids, a small group of Native American activists showed up. They were led by Nathan Phillips, a Native American political activist and member of the Omaha people. Phillips waded into the group of high schoolers playing a ceremonial drum while chanting Native American lyrics. He ended up face to face with one of the Covington High School kids by the name of Nick Sandmann. Sandmann stood his ground and the two were face to face for several minutes, Phillips banging his drum and Sandmann simply staring at him.

At this point, most people with any common sense would say, OK...and? Well, the “and” was someone using their cellphone to record Phillips banging his drum inches away from Sandmann, while Sandmann did nothing but stare at him, a stare that would soon be labeled a “smirk.” Again, most people would say....and? The only way this confrontation would ever become a story of any kind was if this confrontation escalated into a physical altercation between the high school kids and the Native American activists, or possibly the Black Hebrew Israelites.

That didn’t’ happen! It ended very quickly with the high school kids moving on to their bus, Phillips was still banging his drum and chanting, and the Black Hebrew Israelites still hurling profanity at the high school kids. However, whoever was taking the cellphone video posted it on social media and it quickly went viral as hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, even millions of people viewed the video. A loose end to this event is still unknown, since the Twitter account that posted the original video was most likely a “bot” used to spread the video to other “bots” in order to spread it exponentially over social media platforms.

I know, anyone using common sense is still saying...and?

Over the next 12-16 hours, social media was blowing up as people were seeing this video clip of a high school kid smirking arrogantly at a Native American man, not moving an inch. People all over the country and literally around the world began to rip to shreds the high school kid for his arrogance and bullying of the elder Native American man who claimed to be a Vietnam vet.

Journalists from the New York Times and other major news outlets as well as Hollywood elites also began to chime in on social media. They brutally attacked Sandmann and his classmates, many giving out his home address (doxing), many threatening violence, others sharing the brutal way these high school kids should be killed.

Oh, a couple of small details I need to add. The high school kids were all white, all male, and Sandmann and many other students were wearing red MAGA (Make America Great Again) hats! Remember, they were also students at a Christian school and had just participated in the pro-life march.

Well, over the next 24 hours the rest of the story, as the great Paul Harvey would say, started to emerge. Videos of the event began to emerge showing all that happened BEFORE AND AFTER the original viral video started. The original video had nothing of the vile language being hurled at the kids by the Black Hebrew Israelites. The full video also showed that there was NO VIOLENCE and that the high schoolers left the area once their bus arrived.

The real story of Mr. Phillips also began to emerge. He has a long history of political activism. While he was in the marines, he was NEVER in Vietnam as he claimed. He actually went AWOL on three separate occasions. Phillips seems to show up at various events and inserts himself for whatever notoriety he can garner. He is a nobody who uses his Native American heritage for attention.

By Tuesday, this story, non-story should have been over. The press once again looked like fools for jumping the gun without all of the facts. Sadly in the time we are living that is nothing new. But the story kept going! To my amazement, the press began once again to attack Sandmann and his classmates even AFTER all of the facts were known! They basically concluded that they deserved to be harassed, doxed, threatened because they were white, male, dared to wear MAGA hats, Christian, and pro-life! The actual facts of what happened no longer mattered!

Let me bottom line this for you. First, if anyone wondered news no longer exists. As someone who went to Ohio State in the mid-70s majoring in journalism, there is no such thing as real journalism any longer. It is all propaganda and opinion. People can call themselves journalists, THEY ARE NOT. I don’t care what news outlet you access, I don’t care how many times they claim to be fair, objective, unbiased, they are not. News is now entertainment, opinion, and propaganda, PERIOD!

The ONLY reason this non-story was a story is because it involved white males, Trump supporters, Christians, and pro-life. The vast majority of the media today is involved in a daily drum beat that if you are white you are a racist. If you are male you are a monster. If you support President Trump you are a dumb, toothless, hick that secretly hates anyone who doesn’t look like you. If you are a Christian you believe in fairy tales. If you are pro-life you hate women.

THAT MY FRIEND IS THE PREVAILING NARRATIVE IN THE BULK OF THE MEDIA AS OF THIS MOMENT IN TIME. THIS EVENT WENT FROM A REAL NON-STORY, TO EVERYONE ON THE ATTACK BEFORE ALL OF THE FACTS WERE KNOWN, TO A MINIMAL APOLOGY WHEN THE FACTS WERE KNOWN, BACK TO THE ATTACK SINCE THIS STORY CHECKED EVERY BOX THEY OPPOSE!!!

Let me prove it. After the killing of 17 students at a Ft. Lauderdale high school last Valentine’s Day, the media made heroes out of several of the students since they embraced an anti-gun (gun confiscation) message the media propagates. The very same media treated the students at Covington High School like the most vile human beings on the face of the earth!

I love you and care about you so much. There is an all-out assault currently being waged on the male gender. If you are white, you have been the beneficiary of white privilege. People who wear a MAGA hat are the equivalent of those who used to wear the white hoods of the KKK. Christians are hate mongers and bigots since they follow God’s Word and oppose all that satan stands for. If you are pro-life you simply want to control women.

THERE IS A WAR GOING ON IN THE MARKETPLACE TO SILENCE GOD’S WORD FROM BEING SPREAD TO THE MASSES. SOCIAL MEDIA AND INTERNET PLATFORMS ARE DOING ALL THEY CAN TO SHUT DOWN CHRISTIAN SPEECH. THE MEDIA USES THEIR PLATFORMS TO MOCK AND DEMEAN BELIEVERS WHILE PUSHING THE AGENDA OF SATAN ON THE MASSES. SADLY, VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE HIGH PROFILE MINISTRIES TODAY HAVE BEEN ONLY TOO HAPPY TO GO INTO THEIR SAFE AND PROFITABLE SUBCULTURE WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY WILL LEAVE THE WORLD ALONE IF THE WORLD WILL LEAVE THEM ALONE!

SATAN IS NOT INTIMIDATED OR AFRAID BY THE CHURCH, CHRISTIAN TV, CHRISTIAN RADIO, OR ANY OF THE OTHER CHRISTIAN BUSINESSES THAT SPECIFICALLY TARGET PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY CHRISTIANS...SINCE THE ENEMY KNOWS DAY BY DAY SAINTS ARE DYING AND GOING TO BE WITH THE LORD AND ARE NOT BEING REPLACED BY NEW BELIEVERS!!!

Each morning, we can either wake up and bring God’s Word to this lost and hurting world, or stay silent and watch satan destroy the culture while leading as many souls to hell as possible. For the past 25 yrs of ministry, 20 yrs here at Liveprayer plus our 15 yrs of the Liveprayer TV program, I have refused to be silent! I won’t go away and I will battle with my last breath the enemy of our souls for every inch of the marketplace and for every soul!!!
