Random Comments on President Obama’s Executive Action Regarding Guns!

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Lord, thank you for meeting my daily needs as you have promised in your Word. I look to you and your alone for my sustenance through life, and thank you for your faithfulness. Please help me to be a good steward of the funds you entrust into my care during this life, and give me favor in my finances, and wisdom in my decisions. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!

Random comments on President Obama’s Executive Action regarding guns!

-The “show” President Obama put on in announcing his Executive Action on gun control was not even good kabuki theater, but more like a small town dinner theater, no disrespect to small town dinner theaters. President Obama needs to contact former President Bill Clinton for lessons on how to cry on cue. The trick is to start the fake tears, THEN wipe them away!

-The comments President Obama made that led to his “emotional outburst” the media marveled at, were about the young children who were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. I found that amazing since this President has advocated for and supported the slaughter of apx. 4,000 innocent babies every 24 hours in this nation and I doubt he has ever shed one tear for them…even a fake tear!

-Using the parents of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary in CT, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and her astronaut husband Mark Kelly who are now anti-gun activists as human props, what President Obama did on this issue is absolutely MEANINGLESS in the end and will not stop ONE ACT of gun violence, nor would it have stopped any of the high profile acts of gun violence we have witnessed over the past decade.

-Remember, the ultimate goal of President Obama and those in the anti-gun lobby is to confiscate all of the guns. Of course, that would only be from law abiding citizens since criminals will always have guns! The next step down of course is a gun registry. Once again, this would only be the guns owned by law abiding citizens and not the criminals!

-There are scores of gun laws on the books that aren’t being enforced. The vast percentage of gun violence and deaths from guns comes from suicide and acts perpetrated by criminals. A felon with a gun is an automatic 5 yrs on top of whatever sentence they receive for their crime. However, President Obama is now letting criminals out EARLY and wants there to be lighter sentences for criminals. This is insane since he laments gun violence yet supports leniency for the criminals committing the bulk of the gun crimes!

-President Obama mentioned the gun violence in Chicago. That gun violence is virtually exclusively committed by the gangs in that city. It is the police who are responsible for fighting such violence, the very police that President Obama has demonized for his personal political objectives!

-In his Executive Action, President Obama has a mental health component. That is critical since the one common thread in all of the mass shootings over the past decade that weren’t perpetrated by Muslims, has been the legitimate mental health issues of the shooter. Since we no longer have a mental health infrastructure in place, the prions have become defacto mental health facilities. Unfortunately, President Obama’s executive action only seeks to turn mental health professionals into government informants concerning whether a person owns a gun or not.

-Never forget, all of this is in the end is nothing but a political spectacle. It will make ZERO difference in real life. It is also being used to distract people from the real problems this nation faces such as Islamic terrorism overseas and here on our soil, a crumbling economy, in additional to all of the other problems the nations faces due to the failed and incompetent polices of President Obama and his administration,.

As President Obama continues to do everything in his power to destroy this nation before he leaves office in 12 months, he has finally taken illegal executive action in an attempt to limit the rights to bear arms as stated in the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution. Sadly, until he is held accountable by the courts, President Obama will continue his lawless attack to take away the right to bear arms from the citizens of this nation.

Gun control and the Bible. You don't get very far into the Book of Genesis until you see the first act of violence as Cain kills his brother Abel. Since that first act of evil, human history has been fraught with man's violence against other men. Every type of weapon man has dreamed up in his imagination has been used to kill. The first firearms were invented in China in the 12th century. With the current heated debate in this nation over guns, I wanted to look at this issue in a way you won't hear in the news, from a Biblical perspective.

First, the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution gives us the right to bear arms, so unless that Amendment is repealed confiscating guns is not even an option. New laws aren't the answer either since the largest percentage of gun crimes are committed by people who don't obey the laws to begin with. The reality is, there are exhaustive laws already on the books regarding guns, they just aren't being enforced.

The mass shootings over the past decade that have received all of the headlines, have all been perpetrated by people with mental illness. The only logical actions that should be considered are doing a better job of identifying people who are suffering from some form of mental illness, getting them the treatment they need, and put into place a way to track those who are most likely to become violent.

Sadly, in the end this is a large country with 330 million people. To enjoy the incredible freedoms we have, it creates an atmosphere for someone who is mentally disturbed to be able to randomly attack innocent people. There simply is not any sort of plan that is going to prevent that from happening from time to time.

THAT MY FRIEND...is why the spiritual state of this nation is so critical. That isn't going to stop random acts of violence, but it will create an entirely different atmosphere than what we are living with today. We would "do unto others as we would have them do unto us." We would "love our neighbors as ourselves." We would reject the violence that is glorified in the movies, TV, and video games. Instead of treating life like it has no value, we would embrace life as the special gift from God that it is!

I love you and care about you so much. Only true revival can change the spiritual state of our nation, thus changing the environment that exists today which fosters random acts of violence. While the more spectacular acts make the news, every day in large cities and small towns, innocent people are attacked, hurt, and killed. We have become experts in how to commit violent acts against each other.

This is also responsible for a society today that actually embraces and cheers for the 4,000 innocent babies that are slaughtered every 24 hours. It is such a part of our culture, most people never even give it a thought. In this nation where a culture of death flourishes, the next segment of our society to be put to death will be the elderly. Grandma is going to die soon anyway, put her out of her misery now and save the expense of keeping her alive any longer!

We don't have a gun problem in this nation, we have a spiritual problem. If every gun was confiscated and destroyed, we would find whatever was handy to commit acts of violence. The only real answer to the violence in our culture is to turn our hearts to God and start living our lives by HIS laws. Our society will never obey the laws of man unless we first obey the laws of God!
