A Modern Day "Zombie Apocalypse" is Upon Us

(John 8:36)

***DAILY PERSONAL PRAYER FOR YOU: Dear Lord, please help me to keep my relationship with you the first and most important thing in my life at all times. Help me to never put anything ahead of YOU! Thank you for the gift of modern technology and the wonderful tool it can be. Protect me Lord from allowing the technology of the day to dominate my life or lead me into evil. In the name of Jesus I pray...AMEN!

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36

A modern day "zombie apocalypse" is upon us! The most popular program on TV is "The Walking Dead," a program that takes place during the zombie apocalypse. Let me say, if it needs to be said, that there are NO SUCH THING as zombies! They are fictional creatures, though I was asked recently on a radio interview IF there were such a creature would they have a soul? The answer is NO! The moment a person takes their last breath, their soul is either immediately with God for all eternity, or separated from God for all eternity. So if such a creature like a zombie did exist, they would be without a soul.

Recently, there were two seemingly non-related news stories that I want to share with you and tie together. The first was a study done on teens that found apx. 25% of teens spent the bulk of their days online. Being an internet-based ministry, we have dealt with many people over the years who have literally lost their lives online.

>From online gamers to those who live in virtual reality worlds like Second Life, we have dealt with people who have given up their marriages, children, jobs, and money for a an online existence. Obviously these are extreme cases, but they are much more prevalent than you can imagine. They will literally go to the bathroom in a bottle in order not to leave their online existence!

So I totally accept the findings that 25% of teens are spending the bulk of their days online, whether it is on social media, watching videos, Skype, instant messaging, or simply surfing websites. These people have in essence traded in their real life for a virtual life. This has led an increasing number of people in our society to shun any social contact, exchanging their real lives for one of virtual reality.

The end result of living in this world of virtual reality is a life that produces little to nothing. There are no real life accomplishments. Most concerning however is that people slowly lose their ability to engage in real life experiences and in a way become "brain-dead." It is not that their brain isn't functioning, it is that their brain is not functioning in a way that accommodates the normal course of a real life. These people literally lose the ability to distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy!

The second story came out of England and the rise of exorcisms being performed. The rise of exorcisms was being blamed on the soaring use of drugs and addiction to pornography. I have shared with you in the past that those addicted to porn, and thanks to the internet what used to be a predominantly male problem is now a 50/50 problem for males and females, have a plethora of problems when it comes to a real sex life with another human being. The increase in porn addiction and drug use was blamed on demonic activity, thus the increase in exorcisms.

Let me share with you that I DO NOT subscribe to the school of thought that there is a porn demon, or alcohol demon, or drug demon, or gambling demon, just like I don't believe there is an internet demon. These are all CHOICES people make that can put them in bondage to these behaviors, can enslave them to these behaviors, and while we know that all destructive behavior is from satan to "kill, steal, and destroy," it is the involvement and bondage to these addictive choices that opens a person up to demonic activity of many kinds, most prevalent being suicide.

While there may or may not be a rise of exorcisms in the United States, I can assure you that porn addiction, alcoholism, and drug addiction, especially addiction to the destructive drug of marijuana that absolute fools are pushing to legalize, is on a constant rise. Drug and alcohol addiction eventually renders a person's life useless, and its' destructive nature will eventually end in death.

I have no problem stating that the rising number of people who are leaving their real life for huge chunks of time to live in a world of virtual reality online, coupled with many of those people addicted to pornography (a natural byproduct of online addiction), alcohol, and/or drugs, ESPECIALLY THE MIND NUMBING MARIJUANA, and you truly do have the very real beginnings of a modern day "zombie apocalypse" with the people not actually having died...yet!

I love you and care about you so much. I realize that for many, this Devotional today may not have much relevance to your own life. However, as the technology age advances, as more and more people live more and more of their real lives in a virtual existence, with the incredible advancements of robot technology to the point many predict in the near future many people will have relationships of every kind with robots instead of humans, we are on the verge of a very disturbing societal problem that is already upon us though most don't see it as of yet.

Please be praying for people, especially young people, to realize all of this technology is a great tool to make our lives better, but can be abused and literally cost them their very life! Very few people understand the incredible destructive nature of all of this new technology, but I can assure you having dealt with it every day for these past 16 years, incredible number of lives have been and are being lost as more and more people become enslaved to their virtual existence.

Like in all aspects of our life, we must keep the Lord first. That very real, vibrant, personal, daily relationship with Christ must be the most important thing in our life each day. For those who are in bondage to technology, I pray today that you will turn to the Lord. Jesus said He came to set the captives free, and if you turn to Him, He can loose those chains of bondage from you. He who the Son sets free, is free indeed!!! AMEN!

***GOD IS GREAT!!! The last piece of our plan to lead this nation back to God and His Truth has been having the Liveprayer TV program that we pioneered from 2003-2008 on major secular stations and networks back on the air. After having the Liveprayer TV program back on the air "live" every Monday-Friday from Mid-2am EDT for 2 years this May, over 1 year this past February in the Chicagoland market of 10 million people, we have finalized plans for the program to be in national syndication this coming January!!!

This monthly syndication deal will pay the ministry enough each month to cover ALL of our monthly operations costs, and as the program grows, would give us the financial resources to secure a large, visible platform in the marketplace to proclaim the Truth of God's Word that other than through our efforts over the years, has been either void of or filled with weak and watered-down representations of His Truth!

TO INSURE WE COVER OUR FINANCIAL OPERATIONS FOR THE BALANCE OF THE YEAR, I AM SEEKING 300 PEOPLE TO MAKE A 9 MONTH COMMITMENT STARTING THIS MONTH OF APRIL. I AM ASKING 265 PEOPLE TO COMMIT TO HELP LIVEPRAYER WITH A MONTHLY GIFT OF $100 THIS MONTH THROUGH DECEMBER, 30 PEOPLE TO COMMIT TO HELP LIVEPRAYER WITH A MONTHLY GIFT OF $,1000 THIS MONTH THROUGH DECEMBER, AND 5 PEOPLE WHO WILL COMMIT TO HELP LIVEPRAYER WITH A MONTHLY GIFT OF $2,000 THIS MONTH THROUGH DECEMBER.
