God is Faithful

(Deuteronomy 7:9)

***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, Luke 12:8-10 "I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God. But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven." Brother Bill, could you explain to me what this passage is trying to tell me?

ANSWER: This is a critical passage since it simply means if we will take our stand for the Lord, He will take His stand for us! Every follower of the Lord should be reminded of this verse, since every time we sit back in silence, refuse to defend the Lord and His Word, we are denying Him just like Peter did. The bottom line is that there is only one sin that you cannot be forgiven for, and that is rejecting Jesus Christ. Period. As long as you have breath, at any moment you can cry out to the Lord, repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you and your sins will be forgiven and you will be saved. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to literally reject Jesus Christ.

"Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands." Deuteronomy 7:9

Fourteen years of Liveprayer, fourteen years of God's faithfulness. The message that I want to share with you is that GOD IS FAITHFUL! No matter what you may be going through in your life today, God is faithful. As I look back over these past 14 yrs, I see clearly the hand of God that was always there. I can assure you that there were many days I felt like God was not around, but that was simply a lie from satan. The Word promises us that He will never leave us nor forsake us. I am here to testify to you today that His promise is true!

The fact is, God was faithful even when I was not. Many times throughout these past 14 years I failed God, but God never failed me! I have been keeping a complete record of all that has happened at Liveprayer since day one. It is my plan to one day write a book about Liveprayer as a testimony to God's faithfulness. What I want you to understand today is that the Bible teaches us that God is "no respecter of persons." That simply means that the same God that has been faithful to Liveprayer these past 14 years, is the very same God that will be faithful to YOU!

Many people incorrectly call the Christian faith a blind leap in the dark. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our faith is based on the absolute truth of God's Word, written by God Himself and confirmed in the hearts and lives of men since the Garden of Eden. The more we put our faith in God, the more He will strengthen that faith. David didn't run blindly onto the battlefield to fight Goliath. He went out there confidently, knowing that God would lead him to victory. He told King Saul, "The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine."

I tell you today that the very same God who delivered you from the problem you had 3 years ago, the very same God that delivered you from the problem you had 2 years ago, the very same God that delivered you from the problem you had last year, the very same God that delivered you from the problem you had 6 months ago, the very same God that delivered you from the problem you had last week is the VERY SAME GOD THAT WILL DELIVER YOU TODAY! The more we put our faith and trust in God, the more he will increase and build up our faith in Him!

I have so much to be thankful for. The Bible says that He will do "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." I could have NEVER imagined 14 years later over 2.4 million people worldwide would be receiving the Daily Devotional or that we would be sending personal responses to over 40,000 prayer requests every single day. I never would have dreamed that over these past 14 yrs, more than 700,00 people we know of would have accepted Christ as their Savior and that we would have an archive of over 7 million praise reports. I am so grateful how God is using Liveprayer literally 24/7/365 to reach the lost and hurting throughout this world with the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Without a doubt my greatest joy each day has been watching God bring His people together through Liveprayer to make all that has happened these past 14 yrs in millions of lives worldwide possible. We have torn down the walls that have been erected to divide us, keeping us from being all that God has called us to be as His Body. Liveprayer has as many Baptists as Pentecostals, as many Catholics as Methodists. The Daily Devotional goes to men and women, rich and poor, of every color as young as 10 and as old as 95 in over 80 nations each morning. God has brought HIS PEOPLE together through Liveprayer to bring the truth of the Bible to the world!

I love you and care about you so much. Even though I tell you that each day, I want you to know I mean it each day. You have no idea how your love, your prayers, and your sacrificial support of God's work here at Liveprayer has sustained me these past 14 years. When I was down, you sent me a note of encouragement. When I was wondering if we could even make it through the month, God prompted you to give and you were obedient. It is my prayer that we will get a chance to meet each other one of these days so I can give you a big hug. But if not, there will be a great Liveprayer reunion in Glory. There are already many of our brothers and sisters who were part of Liveprayer and have completed their work here and are waiting for us.

Let me leave you today with the greatest lesson I have learned from God over these past 14 yrs. Be obedient and faithful to what God has called you to do with your life. The only thing God expects from us is our obedience and faithfulness. I can guarantee you there have been many days that I did not feel like coming to the office, did not feel like answering someone's email, did not feel like writing the Devotional. There were days when we had technical problems, financial problems, huge issues that were our of my control. God reminded me to be obedient and faithful in what I had control over and leave the rest to Him. God does not expect you to do things you can't do, only be obedient and faithful in the things you can do!

In closing, I want you to know that I pray for you every day. I pray for God's richest blessings on you and your family as you faithfully serve and follow our Lord. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me these past 14 years. Should Jesus tarry, may the Lord continue to abundantly bless the work of Liveprayer each day as we share the truth of God's Word and the hope and love of Jesus Christ with this lost and hurting world.

GOD IS FAITHFUL!

In His love and service, Your friend and brother in Christ,

Bill Keller
