Daily Devotional for Monday December 17, 2012
For 160 Months Liveprayer has been Bringing God's Truth into the Marketplace
(Matthew 25:23)
***ASK BILL: Pastor Bill, I am confused, please help me. The Bible says if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth 'Jesus is your Lord and Savior' you will be saved. Then is there a second condition, that you must also surrender your life 100% in addition to believing to be saved?
ANSWER: NO! Salvation is by faith and God's grace...plus NOTHING! Ephesians 2:8,9. The fact is you surrender your life to Christ when you make that decision by faith. That is what you are doing, giving your heart and life to Jesus. The Bible says we have been bought with a price. Surrendering to Christ is what happens when a person makes the choice to accept Jesus.
For 160 months, Liveprayer has been online, bringing God's Truth into the marketplace, bringing hope to the hurting, and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to the lost. Only eternity will show the tens of millions of lives that God has touched through His work here. As we close out the year and our 160th month, over 700,000 souls we know of have found a personal relationship with Christ through the various ministries of Liveprayer.
All of that has only been possible because friends like YOU have prayed, you have made the sacrifce to sow into God's work here, and have helped share the word with others that when people are hurting they can find hope, help, and prayer here at Liveprayer. Whatever rewards and crowns there may be in Heaven will be shared by ALL in the Liveprayer family for eternity.
"Thank you so much Bill for your Daily Devotionals! I facilitate a small group of ladies in various bible studies for about 8 years now and we have our annual Christmas pot blessings at my house. I always read a devotion before they leave and I wanted to let you know I read yours last night. You can see the expression on most of their faces of relief to hear it's ok to celebrate Christmas! May the Lord Jesus we both love and serve pour down his blessings upon you always."
"I wanted today to tell you the Joshua project will not fail and we need to strive for and pray for unity. Satan has fractured the church, but we can overcome this folly and learn to pray for unity, to speak with one voice. We will be heard and many great things for the Lord will be achieved. Thank you for not being afraid to be ostracized and for giving your all and taking so very little. You are a spiritual hero to me in these last days."
"It is such a refreshing experience to know every day I will get your e-mail which is Bible-centered and doesn't pull the punches. In an age when anything goes EXCEPT believing in the Bible, you are a light shining in the darkness."
"During your absence and bout with food poisoning, I experienced the reality of what it might be like without Liveprayer, and your spiritual leadership. I would suggest others may have felt this same sense of loss in your absence, and be inspired to give generously to keep Liveprayer thriving."
"Today's message is wonderful and with lots of meaning and things to learn and follow. I would like to read again and again, you have given a new version of the Great Love of God for us today. Thank You for your great Ministry."
"I just wanted to thank you not only from myself but I'm sure from countless others for all the tireless efforts you put forth in spreading the word of God. I appreciate the fact that nothing will keep you from speaking the truth in every situation regarding the word of God. Keep up the good fight; you're an example to all Believers."
"Yes, the REMNANT remains! You have taken one of the most public of stands as a modern day Luther!"
"Please know that many people are praying for you and your ministry!! For all those attacks against you prove that you ARE doing something right!!"
"I have been with you since 9/11/2011, when you wrote that inspired Devotional dealing with the fateful events of that day. I was a Christian long before that, but I was searching for some true encouragement. I was hurting financially at that point in my life but was always faithful to send $10 a month to the Live Prayer ministry because I truly thought you were doing something special. You have personally answered many of my requests for prayer over those years for my family, job, health, and finances. I have been in the same job for 15 years and have been promoted, and blessed with increased sales. I have steadily increased my giving to Live Prayer over the years, as I have been financially blessed. For the past 5 years now I have committed to giving a $100 a month. A long cry from $10 a month. I pray today and challenge the LivePrayer family to give according to their financial blessings. Everyone can give at least a dollar, and if they are faithful in that they will not only be blessed for it, but as you so often mention, it would solve all of your financial needs for years to come. God bless you for your steadfastness and dedication to keep bring the truth of the Bible to so many in need. Thank you!"
"I've prayed the prayer and I have accepted the Lord into my heart!"
As we head into the final 2 weeks of the year, we have incredible opportunities awaiting us in the new year to fulfill our mission for the Lord. As you know, over the last 3-4 years as I have warned you and prepared you for the beginning of God's punishment on this nation that began in earnest in early 2008 continues, and that our only hope is to turn this nation back to God and His Truth. Nothing exemplifies this more than the recent horror at the elementary school in Newtown, Ct. on Friday. Liveprayer has been raised up in these last days to help bring about that "Nineveh moment" in this nation.
My big concern today is that with just 2 weeks left, most of those days where many people will be tuned out for the holidays, we still have $17,000 left from our November shortfall. All of that is for basic operations that are now several weeks overdue. I am praying for 1-2 friends to make the sacrifce today to help me clear that shortfall up by the end of business tomorrow. Please contact me if you can wire, direct deposit if you bank at Wells Fargo, or overnight a gift, and I will get you the necessary information. That still leaves us with the $40,000 we need for our basic December operations.
I am asking everyone in the Liveprayer family to commit 3 minutes, 180 seconds today, and seek the Lord to move on the hearts of those who are able to give the most generous gift they can over the next few days. I'm asking everyone to give according to their ability to give as the Bible teaches. For some that would be $5, $10, $20, or $50, for others it would be $100, $200, $500, or $1,000, and still others can give $2,000, $5,000, $10,000, or more.
Please pray about sending a special one-time year end gift to help us be here each day for so many worldwide who are fed daily by Liveprayer, for the tens of thousands who come to us each day for prayer, and to help us keep leading apx. 2,000 lost souls to faith in Jesus each week!
If everyone will simply pray, seek the Lord, and be obedient to give as God purposes in your heart, I know that over the next 14 days we will cover the $57,000 we need to end the year with all of our basic operations current!!! Don't expect someone else to give what God is calling you to give and miss your blessings. Also, for many a gift by the end of the year may help you with your 2012 taxes.

Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and incredible sacrifices to keep Liveprayer a mighty beacon of light for the Truth of God's Word and to the lost and hurting for 160 months now. While we have accomplished so much, there is still much work that needs to be done. With your help, I will continue to give everything I have literally 24/7/365 to see that our calling is fulfilled and that when the Lord calls each of us home we will hear those wonderful words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"
In His love and service, Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
