What Really Happened at Notre Dame this Past Sunday

(Psalms 106:38)

What really happened at Notre Dame this past Sunday. In all the coverage of King Obama's trip to give the commencement address at Notre Dame this past Sunday, not one person has properly identified what this was really all about. This was much more than Notre Dame bestowing an honorary degree upon him. This was much more than him simply addressing the 2009 graduating class. This was a very carefully and cleverly orchestrated event designed for President Obama to take control of the national debate on his penchant for infanticide, and please don't be naive to think Notre Dame was the venue by accident!

The President giving a commencement address is not some random act that happens by chance. Rev. John Jenkins, the president of Notre Dame, is a man who makes a mockery of the Roman Catholic church and the Christian faith. Only God knows his heart if he is even saved, but his actions and speech demonstrate he doesn't believe in the Bible and has zero regard for the cause of Christ. He was a most willing pawn and participant in this debauchery that took place on Sunday in South Bend, Indiana.

What nobody has picked up in President Obama's address were two very critical points. The first was in his plea for "civility in the rhetoric" regarding the abortion issue. This was nothing more than a very literal threat that those who have the audacity to call abortion what it is, murder, and call those who support abortion what they are, murderers, that telling the truth about this evil will no longer be tolerated. People with the guts to call this horrific act what it is will now be labeled as intolerant purveyors of hate.

Remember what I have told you about the new hate crimes legislation adding homosexuals to the list of protected groups. It has NOTHING to do with actual violence towards homosexuals as the bill contends, but is simply a hammer that will be used to silence those who speak out, even from the Bible, against this sin. Subsequently, the groundwork is being laid to add those in the baby killing industry to this existing legislation in the near future in order to silence those who speak out against the slaughter of innocent babies! Sunday, President Obama began to lay that groundwork.

The second key point was this call by President Obama to find "common ground." This is simply an attempt to appear compassionate on this issue. The common ground always means those who stand for life are expected to compromise that stand, while those who support the legalized killing of babies are NEVER asked to change their position. They cleverly attempt to deflect this issue by talking about ways to reduce the number of abortions. Here is a great way to accomplish that, make it illegal!

Oh, a quick memo to our king. Your highness, please stop ending your speeches with "God bless the United States." I have news for you. God is not going to bless a nation that legally kills 4,000 innocent babies every 24 hours or a leader who supports infanticide!!! GOD IS NEVER GOING TO BLESS SIN!!!

I prayed for those brave men and women from outside of Notre Dame, as well as those students and faculty of Notre Dame, who took their stand for life this past weekend. God bless them. Shame on those who were in the arena and applauded for a man who purposely came into a Christian school to make a case for sticking his finger in the eye of God. It was sad to see anyone who knows Jesus as their Savior, standing and cheering a man who opposes God on every major issue of our day.

The one good thing that has come out of this sad event are the news reports that state over $14 million in donations to Notre Dame have been withheld. AMEN! These major universities are incredible money-raising operations. This is a great way for true followers of Christ to express their outrage over Notre Dame being used as a pawn by President Obama to further his pro-death agenda.

I love you and care about you so much. What better venue for President Obama to further his pro-death agenda than at the preeminent Roman Catholic university in the world that has stood as a beacon for life. Those who support life were put on notice Sunday that they will not be tolerated by this administration, and that just like anyone who speaks out against the sin of homosexuality is now labeled as an extremist and hate monger, so will those who speak out for the life of the unborn. The battle lines have been drawn!!!

When you come to the end of your life, it is not what you did for yourself that will matter, but what you did for God.
