The Tale of Two Presidents

(Matthew 7:15, 2 Timothy 4:3-5)

The tale of two Presidents. This Devotional today explains why our exiting President failed in his opportunity to make an impact on the spiritual course of the nation these past 8 years, and why the incoming President will only exacerbate the spiritual decay that exists today. I pray that this will be a major wake-up call to all true followers of Jesus Christ that WE, NOW, have got to come together as one and call our nation back to God and His Truth. WE, not some politician, are the ones God will use to save this nation. Throughout the Bible God raised up and used ordinary, humble men and women who knew Him to fulfill His plan. As you will see, the powerful are lost in the things of this world. They only seek their own kingdom, not God's!!!

It was a wise move on his part, that President Bush didn't give the interview he did this week to ABC News in the year 2000, or in 2004 when he ran for re-election, or I assure you he would never have won this White House either time. It was the Christian community that put George W. Bush in power these past 8 years. As I told you a few years into his first term, as I told you when he ran for re-election, and as I have pointed out these past 4 years, this is a man who may be saved, but if he is, was left on the floor of the birthing room and has never grown spiritually past his born again experience!

Based on the statements President Bush made in this recent ABC interview, it is now clear why this man never made an impact on the key spiritual issues of our day the past 8 years. The comments he made that caught my eye were when he said that he's "not a literalist" when reading the Bible, that the Bible is probably not literally true, and he thinks belief in God and evolution are not mutually exclusive. He also stated that he thinks he prays to the same God as others with different faiths.

My friend, if you don't believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, representing Absolute Truth and our final authority in ALL matters, you are in a dangerous place. It is now YOU, not God, who is determining what Truth is. The Bible is either 100% true, or it is not. You can't play the game of picking and choosing what you like and dislike. Being a Christian does not allow you to straddle the fence. Jesus said that you can't serve two masters. Either you believe God or you don't. When it comes to the issue of creation, how we came to exist, the Bible is clear that the THEORY of evolution is totally incompatible with Biblical truth. Everything came into existence EXACTLY how God stated in the Genesis 1.

I have called out the Present in the past for his ignroant statement that alalh, the imaginary god of Islam, and the God of the Bible are one and the same. THEY ARE NOT! If President George W. Bush is praying to the God of the Bible, he is praying to the ONLY God that exists. The gods of the false religions and cults of the world are gods made up out of the minds of people who live in rebellion to the God of the Bible and have created belief systems in complete opposition to the Truth fo God's Word. THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD. THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC, AND JACOB. THE GOD OF THE BIBLE! HE IS GOD ALONE!

These statements don't come as a surprise to me, they only confirm what I already knew. Only God knows, but if he is saved as he claims, President George W. Bush is like many Believers and has never grown spiritually past his new birth experience. He has never been properly discipled. He had the ability by Executive Order to cut all federal funding to Planned "how to kill your baby" Parenthood as well as other bold moves to curtail the legalized slaughter of babies in this nation. He could have used his office to champion an amendment to the US Constitution to define marriage as between a man and a women. The cold hard fact is, he was probably the last chance ever for a sitting President to impact the spiritual course of our nation, and he failed. For that he will answer to God one day.

Sadly, our incoming President is no friend of God and will only exacerbate the spiritual decay in our nation. I checked our archives. I started to warn people about our President-elect TWO YEARS AGO, when most people had never heard his name. I knew this man since I started my ministry in 1992, the same year Barack Hussein Obama came to Chicago and became a community organizer in the Daily political machine on the south side. I have laid out numerous times over the last 2 years, how Obama is part of the Chicago political machine, a corrupt institution that is now in the national headlines.

David Axelrod, the head of Obama's successful Presidential campaign, was also the campaign manager for the current Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, who is under indictment and in the national news for his brazen political corruption. Obama's new chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, has been a LONG TIME player in Chicago politics, and another who is very close to the disgraced Governor. Obama himself endorsed Blagojevich when he ran for Governor in 2002 and 2006. Contrary to what he now wants people to believe, just like with the racist Dr. Jeremiah Wright, there is a LONG and CLOSE relationship between Obama and Blagojevich.

After living in Chicago for 15 years, I can tell you that NOBODY rises to political power in that city as fast as Barack Hussein Obama without selling your soul to Richie Daily, the don of Chicago politics, and the corrupt Chicago political process. Obama won his state senate seat, not at the ballot box, but by getting his opponents thrown out on technicalities. He won his US Senate seat by using insiders to destroy his Republican opponent, when confidential records of his salacious divorce were released to the public. Obama is a product of the Chicago political machine and when this whole sordid affair with Blagojevich is brought to the light of day, people will see he as a huge part of the corruption that is Chicago politics.

What has been exposed in Illinois this week, that will be playing out in the national media in the coming months, only illustrates and confirms that Barack Hussein Obama is about one thing, POWER. His agenda is not God's agenda. He opposes God on every major spiritual issue that faces our nation. He is a man who preaches a message of hope and change, but it is the false hope and change of this world. As President, he is only going to lead this nation further from God and His Truth and help to continue the spiritual decay of this nation.

That is why it is YOU, a true follower of Christ, that God is calling to step up and make your stand for Him. God used mere shepherds on that first Christmas as His messengers of the greatest news man ever received. God has used mere men over the years to fulfill His plan and purpose. It is no different today. It is not the powerful in Washington that are going to lead this nation back to God and His Truth, it is the remnant, the people of God, YOU! Now is the time. Now is the moment. Those who love the Lord must stand up and be counted if we are going to lead this nation back to God and avoid His wrath and judgment!

I love you and care about you so much. The tale of our current President's beliefs, and the exposure of who are incoming President really is, should be a final wake-up call to all true followers of Jesus Christ that WE, and nobody else, are the ones who have to roll up our sleeves and do the hard work of calling this nation back to God and to His Truth. I have committed to take on the extra burden of leadership, to use the resources God has entrusted into my care, not to build my own kingdom as so many others have done, but to build HIS Kingdom.

I don't use the funds God moves on people to give to His work here to build a fiefdom to myself as so many others have done. I own no property. I don't have a private plane. I don't have hundreds of staff running around to support "my fiefdom." I am a simple, lone man who has given his life to serve God and serve others, not be served. I don't do this for fame or fortune, but for Christ and souls. My only motivation is when my work is over, to hear my Lord say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

The President of the United States may be the most powerful man in the world, but a child of God can accomplish even more than the President when that person is sold out to Christ and yielded to the power of the Holy Spirit. It is time to get to work. We have a nation facing the judgment of God if we don't!
