The Economy, the Election, Liveprayer and the Opportunity to Impact Millions of Lives for Christ

(Isaiah 33:2 )

The economy, the election, Liveprayer, and the opportunity to impact millions of lives for Christ. With just 92 days left in this year, it promises to be a turbulent final three months. The economic problems are going to continue to be front and center the rest of this year. Five weeks from today we will go to the polls to elect our next President. It is a time of great upheaval in our nation and presents a great opportunity to impact millions of lives for Christ. These are the moments in time for all followers of Christ to stand up and be counted!

Let me first deal with the economic nightmare that we are dealing with. At some point, there will eventually be some sort of deal since politicians in both parties don't want to be blamed when the stock market tanks 2-3,000 points and everyone from businesses to individuals can't get credit. The truth is, whatever bill is passed does nothing to address the fundamental problems with the economy. While it will help avoid an immediate economic meltdown, the root problems that got us to this place still exist. Already this week, one of the nations largest banks Wachovia, whose stock has gone from $52 a share to under $1, was bought out by Citigroup. Seven other banks in nations around the world have failed and had to be bought out or infused with capital.

A special note of congratulations to those in the House of Representatives who had the courage to vote NO on this rescue bill. No doubt there will be a new version that will eventually be passed, but it was nice to see politicians show some backbone for once. For the average person getting credit is going to be more difficult even with this rescue bill. Housing prices are going to remain depressed for a few more years. We are in a time of economic slowdown and more people are going to be out of work. This is not a time to panic. The housing markets, the stock market, the economy in general will turn around in a few years. We are simply in a down cycle that has been made worse because we are now operating in a global economy.

The two key points I want you to learn from these past few weeks are these. First is how easy it would be for God to use the economy as a form of His judgment on this nation. I hope you can now understand that it wouldn't take much for a complete meltdown of our economic system, and this would affect every man, woman, and child alive. Second, is how intertwined our economy is with the rest of the world. All of the world markets are really one in the year 2008. This is critical since it really does set the stage for a one-world economic system that will be ruled by the anti-Christ. The stage is being set for Revelation and the final chapters of human history to unfold.

With the election only 5 weeks away, it should be clear as I told you last year, that whoever wins the White House is going to be no friend of God. Neither man is going to pursue an agenda that is going to deal with the pressing spiritual issues that face our nation. As much as I would love to see a man who openly loves the Lord and had the guts to use this powerful office to pursue a Godly agenda, I can only hope that since that is not going to be the case, men and women of God will finally stop looking to politicians to do the work God has called His people to do.

IF THIS NATION IS GOING TO TURN BACK TO GOD AND BIBLICAL TRUTH, WE HAVE TO BE THE ONES TO DO IT!!!

After nearly 20 years in the ministry, I have never been more certain of what God has called me to do with the last few years of my life. Very few people could ever imagine the attacks and warfare I have endured over these many years. It is only by the grace of God that I am still here each day serving Him. Trust me when I tell you that there is a very real enemy whose goal is to literally kill, steal, and destroy. As much as I learned how to live with the attacks over the years, I am here today to testify that these past 13 months have been like never before in my life. Satan has come after my marriage, come after me in every way you can imagine, and attacked the finances and every aspect of Liveprayer.

Why these past 13 months? Just look at the history of Liveprayer. We started out as an innocuous prayer site 9 years ago. It quickly took off an attracted hundreds of thousands of people to the Daily Devotional that has grown into a subscriber base of nearly 2 1/2 million people around the world. In 2003, the TV program began, airing only on major secular TV network affiliates, never asking for money or selling things, simply dealing with the issues of the day an in peoples lives from a Biblical worldview, ministering to people in a "live" format.

In 2007, I went into the national media to warn people that Mormonism was a cult leading the souls of its followers to hell. This was a very unpopular position, especially amongst major Christian leaders who had sold out their faith to back this satanic cult member for whatever short term political gain there may have been. It was also in 2007 that the Islamic extremist organization CAIR came after me and intimated CBS into canceling the TV program after 4 1/2 years because I had the audacity to warn people about the false religion of hate and death. That battle also played out in the national press.

In late 2007, the international press picked up on my video message to Osama Bin Laden, where I invited him to repent of his sins, renounce the false religion of Islam, and accept Jesus as His Savior by faith. Then in February of this year, we were informed the IRS was launching an investigation whether I had violated our tax exempt status for educating people that Mormonism is a cult leading the souls of men to hell. That investigation was expanded a few moths ago to include my comments about the spiritual claims and positions of Senators Obama, Clinton, and McCain.

Why do you think other major ministers stay in the Christian trough? Why do you think you don't hear other major ministers in the secular media dealing with these pressing issues of the day? The fact is, they have a great business and the last thing they want is to do anything to disrupt their business. So they play the political games, even at the expense of the Truth. They stay out of the controversy. Controversy is bad for business. They stick to a friendly, non-offensive, watered-down message, geared primarily to those who are already Christians, that makes people feel good. This is exactly why we have a nation in spiritual freefall, gutless men of God who have failed to lead!

Through these 13 months, God's promises have been true. He has seen my wife and I through some difficult days and we celebrate our 25th anniversary on October 22nd. He has protected me from the onslaught of personal attacks I have endured, that has drawn me even closer to Him. Liveprayer continues to press forward. Within the next couple of weeks we will launch our exciting new Liveprayer Church. This is an online church in every sense of the word with a weekly service people can watch at their leisure (people at home will have the ability to choose the type of music you want during the service you watch), online Bible studies, discipleship training, evangelism training, and special tools of social interaction.

Remember, a church is not a building but a gathering of Believers in Jesus Christ to be fed, inspired, encouraged, challenged, ministered to, and trained up in the work of the Lord. Sadly, I have lost confidence in the majority of churches to properly disciple new converts, so this was a big reason we are starting this new church. Also, there is a large percentage of people who have been hurt, disenfranchised by the church over the years, yet who still yearn to be part of a body of Believers. This will give them that opportunity. In the end, it will be a snapshot of Heaven with people from all over the world bound together by the shed blood of Jesus Christ!

The Jonah Project is in full swing. We are still working on a secular TV and radio deal that will enable us to add more people to the Jonah Project, be a great vehicle to bring people into the new Liveprayer Church, while bringing God's Truth into the marketplace and ministering to the viewers. Despite the attempts of the evil one to distract me, disturb things, keep me from the work God has called me to do, by His grace I am still standing and pressing forward each day. I know that what I am trying to do is not easy, that it is not popular, and that most people really don't care. That is exactly why our nation is in the spiritual state it is today.

We will be able to reach over 30 million people, a number growing daily, with this incredible new cell phone outreach as we take His Truth and the hope of Christ to the lost and hurting masses through this 21st century medium.

Since day one, I have simply shared our needs and trusted God to move on the hearts of those who were able to help me reach the lost with His love and hope.

Unless God is going to use the economy as an instrument of His judgment on this nation for our sins, we are simply in a down cycle and in a few years things will improve. There will be no friend of God at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for the next 4 years. However, know that God is still on His throne and these are the moments when we have an opportunity to share the love of Christ and help lead the lost and hurting to faith in Jesus Christ. I am pressing forward towards that prize each day, and ask that you join me. Together we can help lead this nation back to God and His Truth while bringing the lost to faith in His Son Jesus Christ!!!
