I Need Your Prayers

(John 15:16)

I need your prayers and counsel! This is one of those rare days I am coming to you to pray for me and to seek YOUR counsel. It is an incredible group of people God has brought together over the years through His work here at Liveprayer. So many unique, gifted, and talented people from all over the world representing every walk of life. 2007 has been the most productive year ever here at Liveprayer in terms of the number of people we are reaching each day, the number of people we are ministering to each day, the number of people who are sending us praise reports each day, and most important of all, the number of people we know of who are coming to faith in Jesus Christ each day!

That is because so many in the Liveprayer family forward the Daily Devotional to people they know plus the impact of the Liveprayer TV program. It is also due to all of the national exposure Liveprayer has received through my association with Howard Stern and the number of appearances I have made during the year on national TV and radio programs in addition to the incredible amount of standard and internet press from the stand for Truth we have taken in the marketplace on many issues. Liveprayer is fast becoming a known entity in the mainstream marketplace because of the Biblical position we take on the issues and the fact we are bold enough to declare to this lost world that the only Truth is found in the Bible and the only hope for the world, each nation, and every person, is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

At the same time, this has been one of the most frustrating years so far as well. This ministry has endured the attacks and intense spiritual warfare from day one over 8 years ago. That is simply part of being on the front lines in a world that has rejected God, His Truth, and Jesus. However, never before has it been as vicious and intense as this year. A good portion of those attacks have been aimed at the Liveprayer TV program. Trust me when I tell you that satan is currently waging an all out assault on the Liveprayer TV program to take it out and get us off the air. After nearly 5 years on the air, the program has become a huge threat to satan and his empire as we have successfully battled him on his turf, secular television, and have been bringing Truth and true hope to people while snatching souls from the conveyor belt to hell and rerouting them to a mansion in Glory!

MY FRIEND, SATAN IS OUT TO WIPE US OFF THE TV LANDSCAPE!!!

You are already familiar with satan using his tools at CAIR to intimidate CBS into canceling our late night program after 4 1/2 yrs and 1175 programs. If you missed the details of what happened, you can read about it at: http://www.liveprayer.com/ddarchive3.cfm?id=3040 Of course, the TV program never missed a beat since we were already been scheduled to start our new Liveprayer AM program on the Sinclair Broadcasting owned MyNetworkTV affiliate in the Tampa market. Our initial program was the Monday following the Friday of our last late night broadcast. Was satan going to just let us move to the mornings, reaching an even larger audience without any interference? NO WAY!

Our media agency negotiated for months with the local Sinclair affiliate here in Tampa. The station obviously knew about our program from our 4 1/2 yrs on a competing station in the market. We negotiated a 2-year contract with the Sinclair station and began our new morning program Labor Day, September 3rd. On Friday, September 14, at the end of our 2nd week on the air, I got a call from our agency telling us that they just received a call from the local station that their corporate office had told them we were no longer allowed to take live phone calls, that it was against their corporate policy to take live calls due to the potential for fines from the FCC if any bad words got on the air.

Needless to say I was not only upset but mystified. Why would this local station have negotiated and contracted with us to bring our program to their station, a program whose hallmark is LIVE PHONE CALLS, if there was a corporate policy prohibiting live phone calls. It made no sense to me. So the following Monday I called the Chairman of Sinclair Broadcasting, David Smith, and explained what was happening and he assured me he would look into it. A week later, on Monday the 28th I was directed to talk to their corporate counsel, and despite the fact we had been taking live calls for 1175 programs on a CBS owned station, for 265 programs on many ABC stations (from June 2005-June 2006), for 60 programs nationwide in 2006 on the "i" Network, for 2 weeks on their station, all without any problems since we have an 8-second delay to cut out any bad language, I was told their decision stood and we would not be allowed to take live calls on our program.

Obliviously, the live calls are the heart of the program. That is my opportunity to minister to people on the spot, not to mention the fact that during those phone calls over the years hundreds of callers have literally accepted Jesus as their Savior live on the air. So we are looking at several different options right now, but been in prayer since even though the program is still powerful, the Truth is going out each day, we are getting over 300 emails after every program for prayer and counsel, and are still seeing people respond to the invitation to accept the Lord I give at the end of every program, it simply isn't the same program without the live phone calls.

The other frustration I have been living with each day this year is the attempt to get the late night program back on nationwide. This is why I fought so hard for the program to live long enough to catch on the two times we were on last year. I still have a great relationship with the people at the "i" Network, and for the moment, we still have the ability to get the program back on their entire network, live for an hour 5 nights a week, reaching over 90 million of the 100 million TV households in the country. As you may remember, last January a German man in Los Angeles whose company invests in motion pictures was going to finance the program for 2 years. He was never able to get the funding from his investors. Also, the company in Phoenix we were working with to bring Liveprayer to millions of cell phones, was going to sponsor the Liveprayer TV program nationally but simply didn't have the resources to do it. So despite the fact we have pretty much worked out the long-term plan for the financing of the program through advertisers, the key to making that happen is being on for an entire quarter, 13 weeks, which will cost $3 million dollars.

OK, having laid that foundation, here is where I need your prayers and counsel. Many would say God is simply closing the doors on the TV program. Possible, but I don't believe it and here is why. We proved that we could create a unique program dealing with the issues in the world and in people's lives from a Biblical worldview that could compete head-to-head with the multi-million dollar programming of the world and get non-Believers to watch. Our ratings over the years on secular stations have proved that fact. Since we launched the program in March of 2003, the Liveprayer TV program has touched and impacted millions of lives across the nation. The program has helped lead over 10,000 people we know of to faith in Jesus Christ. The fruit of the 1195 programs we have done tells me that this is not God closing the door on the program, but simply satan trying to take out a vehicle God is using to bring Light to the darkness of the secular TV world, a vehicle bringing people real Truth and hope in a world full of lies and false hope, and helping the lost find everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ.

Some will wonder, if that is all true and we are talking about $1 million a month or $12 million annually, why aren't other larger, well financed TV ministries doing this? Simple, MONEY! It is not profitable to preach to the lost! Why do you think these big crusades don't set up their tents or rent the stadiums and invite the general public to come? Why do they spend 2-3 years getting all of the area churches involved? Simple! it is easier to simply preach to the choir, and it is profitable! Non-believers aren't going to buy that many resources and they certainly aren't going to give someone money so they buy a new private jet or their 5th mansion!

We have created a unique format that beaks the mold of the typical preaching/teaching/Christian talk program. Plus, I don't ever ask the viewers of money. So it is great ministry but there is no payday from the program unless you use the same financial model the world uses, advertising! That is why nobody is doing this and why everyone has abandoned the secular television world, except for the Sunday morning church services and the few who buy "religious only blocks" to troll for Christians with the same program they air on the Christian networks, leaving the marketplace to satan and his minions to poison the hearts and minds of the masses each day.

Many in the Liveprayer family have caught the vision and "get" what Liveprayer is all about. They have made incredible sacrifices over these past 55 months to make the TV program a reality so I would be able to touch the millions of lives we have. I have no doubt God has a special blessing for each one when they get to Glory for their walk of faith and obedience. The reality is now more than ever this nation and millions of people who don't even know it, need this program! In 2008 we will be electing a new President. It is a very good chance it will be someone who is going to lead this nation even further from God and His Truth. It is not a matter of if, only when, until we are attacked again like on 9/11.

Every day there are events in the nation and around the world affecting people's lives. Having this live daily program to bring those events and all that is happening in our world and in people's lives into a Biblical perspective, being able to personally minister to people at those crisis times in their lives, is an incredible resource of the Kingdom. I firmly believe that once this program is back on nationwide, as events unfold, the Liveprayer TV program will become a catalyst to lead hundreds of thousands, even millions of souls to faith in Christ and bring revival to this nation. I don't say that lightly and I truly believe it in my heart. IT HAS THAT POTENTIAL AND SATAN KNOWS IT, WHY DO YOU THINK HE IS TRYING TO TAKE THE PROGRAM OUT? That is why I am coming to you today and asking for your prayers and for your counsel as we hold firm, withstand the attacks of the enemy, and not only deal with the issues facing the morning program, but get the late night program back on nationwide before the end of the year!

I love you and care about you so much. I have come to a place where I need your prayers, counsel, and help. How easy my life would become, how much pressure would be removed if I simply looked at what is happening with the TV program and decided that season is over, be satisfied that we did something for nearly 5 yrs nobody else has done while touching and impacting millions of lives, and only had to focus each day on Liveprayer.com. It would also immediately remove most of the financial burdens I face each month. As much as I would like to do that in the flesh, I can't. God has given me a job to do and it is my responsibility to see that job through to the end. Having sacrificed my life to literally host every program 5 days a week these past 55 months, I have seen with my eyes and experienced first hand the impact the Liveprayer TV program has in people's real lives. When the world wants to build a casino to destroy millions of lives they have no problem finding hundreds of millions of dollars. I refuse to believe we can't find the $3 million we need for that first quarter, even $12 million to cover the entire first year!

I need counsel from those who God has gifted and given wisdom, resources, and the right connections to, to help me. We are living in a nation that is in spiritual freefall and it is only going to get worse. There are tens of millions, even hundreds of millions of souls who will die and spend eternity in hell unless they turn their hearts and lives to Jesus by faith. We have a proven vehicle that can help turn this nation back to God and Biblical Truth and people's lives from hell to Heaven. I am not giving up, only crying out. I won't quit until I have fulfilled this work God has called me to do, but I can't do this alone. I need the counsel, the wisdom of several who can help develop a plan for us to get the $3 million we need by the end of October, which would get us on nationally the first of December, or by the end of November, which would get us on nationally the first of January.

There are only a few times in our life when we have the opportunity to do something great for God. I live my life each day with the goal of giving everything I have that day for the Lord and letting God use me to touch as many lives as possible. It is the greatest sacrifice any of us can make, giving our lives, literally to the Lord. I need one or more people who are willing to lay down their lives for the Gospel. It is amazing what men can accomplish when they are surrendered to the Lord. I have no doubt there are many gifted and talented men and women who God has blessed in many ways, who God can use to help me.

All I ask today is that you pray for God to move on the right hearts, and if God is speaking to you today, that you respond and contact me. The fact is, if you help me or not, this will get done since I have no choice. It is what I committed my life to do. I am simply coming today and reaching out for you to pray and if God is burdening your heart to stand with me and help, that you will obey His voice and make this your mission too. I will fight this battle for the souls of men until the Lord calls me home, will you fight with me?
