Our God is an Awesome God

(Genesis 12:1-3; 1 Samuel 17:37; Hebrews 11:13-16)

I want to first thank God for the wonderful opportunity to use the Liveprayer television program to broadcast to the entire nation as we have completed our first 2 programs (even though they were actually our 871st and 872nd programs) on the "i" Network, formerly Pax TV. During the past year we would get apx. 1500 emails from each program. We received a little over 5,000 emails for prayer the first night! Best of all, we had 32 people email us from our first night's broadcast that they had accepted the Lord during the invitation I give at the end of every program. That my friend, is what this is ultimately all about...souls! Our God is an awesome God.

Today, I want to thank you and encourage you. I want to thank you for all of your love, your prayers, and those who have been able and led, your financial sacrifices that have not only made Liveprayer possible for millions worldwide each day these past 82 months, but have enabled us to be reach the hurting and lost masses on major secular television networks these past 40 months, and now broadcast to the entire nation "live" for an hour each night. I realize that during these past 18 months I have challenged you aggressively to support this effort and am so grateful for those who responded to that challenge.

For those that I upset in this process I ask you to forgive me. I apologize for upsetting you, but not for asking for you to help me. I did not ask you to give so I could build a huge glass building, or buy a new lear jet, or live like the ruler of a small nation. I asked you to give to help me bring hope to the hurting and salvation to the lost. For those who have been with me for a while, you know my heart. My only goal is to see the lost won to Christ. I would have loved to heard Paul as he shared his vision to sail to the rest of the known world and bring Christ to the people of those nations. Like today, I am sure most were not interested in helping him and many were upset he was even asking them to give. But for those who were obedient and responded, they are still reaping the rewards of their obedience today!

The fact is God's ultimate plan would have still unfolded had Paul not sailed on those missionary journeys. The fact is, the world would still be spinning today had the Liveprayer television program not gone nationwide. However, because Paul and those who supported him had the faith to believe God and obey God and walk in faith, the world of their day heard the message of Christ's hope and love and countless souls are in eternity today because of their efforts for Christ. I pray that because we have had the faith to believe God and obey God and walk in faith, the world of our day will continue to hear the message of Christ's hope and love and countless souls will find everlasting life through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Unlike Paul and those who followed him who have completed their journey through this life and are enjoying the rewards of their faithfulness, our journey is still unfolding. We have a small window of opportunity to take advantage of the door God has opened for us to reach this entire nation each night in this bold, aggressive, and unique way for Christ. We are guaranteed to be on the air for 4 weeks, 20 programs since that is what we have paid for so far. We have got to attract the advertisers to be able to stay on past those initial 20 programs. So please be praying for God to move on the hearts of those who have the ability to partner with us and sponsor this program that is bringing Biblical Truth back into the marketplace and the hope and love of Christ to the hurting and lost masses who don't go to church, don't watch Christian TV, and are not going to be reached otherwise.

As I type these words today, I think of the words of David as he prepared to fight Goliath. He remembered how God had delivered him from the paw of the bear and the how God had delivered him from the paw of the lion. He went onto that battlefield with the confidence in knowing that the same God would now deliver him from the Philistine giant. I think back to when we started the TV program on UPN in Tampa 40 months ago and how we expanded the program last July to the ABC affiliates in Miami, Jacksonville, and West Palm Beach, the WB in Ft. Myers and PAX in Orlando. The same God who sustained us and provided for our needs these past 870 programs is the very same God who will sustain us and provide for our needs now!!!

I love you and care about you so much. I want to encourage YOU today to not be afraid to trust God in your life. Trust God for the work He has called you to do for Him. Trust God for your daily needs to be met. Trust God to make a way when there appears to be no way. The Bible teaches that we are to walk by faith and not by sight. My word for you today is to be like Abraham as he left Ur for "a land I will show you." Abraham had no idea where that "land" was, but he obeyed God by faith! God made many promises to Abraham, promises like making his name great and that a nation would come from his loins. These were promises that seemed outrageous, but Abraham had the faith to believe God! Abraham walked by faith and not by sight and was used mightily by God because of it. GOD WANTS TO USE YOUR LIFE MIGHTILY!

I will be praying for you today to take that talk of faith in your life. God loves you so much and only wants the best for you and your life. Don't be afraid, He won't let you down. When your flesh is weak, God will strengthen you. The promises in His Word are true. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is with you always. The time is short my friend and Jesus is comign soon. God's Word tells us to be about our Father's business so that we may be found faithful upon His return. You only get one opportunity to live this life so make the most of it. Take that walk of faith and God will bless you richly each and every step of the way. Our God is an awesome God!!!
