Health Problems
(Jeremiah 30:17)
Because God originally made us all to live forever and for us never to have health issues, when sin entered into the picture, that perfect health was destroyed. I can confidently say that EVERYONE of us will experience challenges in this area during our lifetime. This FACT has given rise to the very powerful health care industry that EVERYONE OF US will at some point come in contact with. Even someone like myself, who for 43 years now has been so blessed with perfect health, I still go to get a physical every year and pay annually a very high premium for health insurance for myself and my wife, since we understand health issues will be part of this life we are living.
Obviously, one of the number one prayer requests we get each day at Liveprayer is for healing. I have done a series of healing Devotionals that I will re-air in the near future. But the fact is, we will ALL die of something, and for most it will be some sort of physical issue. While God made our bodies to live for eternity, sin was introduced into the human experience, and one of the consequences of that sin was the fact that our bodies would now experience physical death. Only God can say when that death will occur. But we are required as good stewards of these temples God has provided for us to keep them in the best shape we can, and use the miracles of modern medicine God has provided to live as long as possible.
Involved in all of this is health insurance. Sadly, as our nation has fallen on economic hard times, more Americans than ever are without any type of health care coverage. One of the biggest goals I have each day is to make our unseen faith translate into the very real world we are all living in, dealing with the practical day-to-day issues of life in context to our faith in Christ. To this end, I have been grieved by the incredible numbers of those who have no ability to secure health care insurance for themselves or their family. I grieve because I know that ALL of us are at some point in our life going to need such services.
I love you and care about you so much. One of my number one goals each day is to help you translate your faith in Christ into your very real day-to-day life.
Health care is an issue is EVERYONE must deal with. For many, you either do not have these benefits from your job or cannot afford them. One day we will each die. That is a given. However, the key until the day God says our work here is over, is to serve Him to the best of our ability.
