Driving Out The Demons - Part I

(Matthew 17:14-21)

Part One. Driving out the demons. Everyone of us has certain demons in our life that we need to drive out. For many it is a battle with alcohol. For some it is drugs. Many battle with pornography or other sexual addictions. The demon in many lives is overeating (read what the bible says about gluttony). Still others battle demons of suicide, depression, greed, and bitterness. The point is, no matter who you are, how long you have been a Christian, everyone...EVERYONE is fighting some demon today.

I want to encourage you today. Sometimes you feel like giving up. Sometimes it is just easier to give in than to fight. Let me tell you right now, if you want victory over your demons, you can have it. To be very honest with you, many have learned how to live with their demons, coexist with them, and really aren't ready to get rid of them just yet. They know they need to, but just haven't been ready to get serious about getting them out of their lives once and for all.

Having said that, let me tell you, that when you are ready....God is waiting to give you the power. The power of your faith in God, coupled with His limitless ability, can destroy and conquer whatever the demons in your life might be. Nothing is impossible for God. There are too many testimonies of people overcoming exactly what you are fighting today. Normal people. People no more smarter or special than you are. These are just people that one day decided that enough was enough, exercised the faith God gave them, and allowed God to drive the demons out of their life once and for all.
