Taking Time To Pray
Taking time to pray. We get so busy in our day to day lives, so caught up in the hectic pace we put ourselves through, that many days we just don't have time to pray. My friend, MAKE the time. You find time for other things that you want to do. MAKE time to pray every day. It is the most important thing you can do, and quite honestly, you should never leave the house until you have spent some time in prayer.
Why? First of all, the Jesus said, "without me you can do nothing". In all honesty, that is about all I need to know. Without Him, I am not capable of doing anything. Of course, we all have talents and abilities that God has blessed us with, and by the world's standards, we can accomplish a lot. But is anything we are doing really have any eternal significance? Are we just about building our own kingdom and ignoring the kingdom of God? Prayer gives us that daily connection with God, the perspective about who we are, and keeps us humble realizing how much we need the Lord in our lives each day.
Let me encourage you today. Take the time to pray every day. It is the most important thing you can do. Use the time to bring your needs to God, the needs of others, and use it as a time of thanksgiving for all He has done for you. I guarantee you that your day will go better, the troubles will seem more manageable, and life will have a greater meaning. God loves you and has given us this incredible ability to communicate with Him. Please, don't take it for granted or not take full advantage of the access that He has given us to talk with Him.
